Hugz didn’t choose his situation and I’m not going to hold it against him. I don’t expect him to turn in his folks to ICE either. If his folks are honest hard working folks they aren’t at the top of my list to worry about.

I do believe that folks coming here illegally are cheating their fellow countrymen that are waiting in line to come here the right way.

This is a national security issue. We have drug dealers, gang members and possible terrorists to be worried about. We need control of the boarders to insure the folks coming in are looking for honest work and not something else. If anyone takes that as racist to bad.

He was born here and is a citizen like anyone else. I also have sympathy for those that were drug here illegally by their parents. If a kid gets brought here when they are 2,3 or 6 years old how can you hold that against them. I know kids in college that have no papers but are going to school, doing well and are productive people, moving forward and getting an education. The kid was just a product of his parents coming here illegally.

Well, then the issue isn't illegal immigrants at all, right? Is it more of a "come here whenever, however you want and if you act like a good person, then we'll let you stay, but if you act like an idiot and we don't like you, then you have to go back?" I don't get that. I understand Hugz is a citizen by birth. I don't like it, but I understand. But don't go all democrat on me and sing Kumbaya. Illegal is illegal. Period. I don't care when, how, or why. Again, wrong is wrong, no matter what the outcome. Maybe that's too cut and dried for you?

So if a couple comes here illegally and drag their 5 year old along does that make the kid a criminal too? That's like saying if a mom and dad have a house full of drugs we arrest the 5 year old also for being there.

Wrong is wrong KC. The ones at the top of my list for deportation are the ones getting arrested for other crimes like rape, murder and ID theft. Next are the ones already in prison. They need to be deported instead of being released to the street.

Just that will keep law enforcement busy for years.

I agree with you on that but the bottom line is we are not going to hunt down people and deport them if they are not breaking any laws. Being here illegally IS wrong but again what does say a 13 year old do? Tell his parents send me back to mexico so I can file my application? THe kids are victims.

Yeah Army, we don’t have the resources to track down every last one. If we can secure the boarder, deport the ones that continue to commit more crimes after they get here and stop the abuse of social services we could probably let the rest slide.

By that time the rest will have passed away from old age anyway.
