The problem with that is that if he carries outside his home without proper documentation, he would be considered the "bad guy" and I wouldn't want that to happen.

You can carry anywhere, as long as you don't conceal! If it gets down to my life or some scum low-life that would do this, sorry--I don't need any "stinkin' license"!

If this person was a member of some "Mafia or Gang", he would not have told you and he probably would have did you in. Afterall, he is your neighbor and you definitely can identify him.

The sad thing is. He was a neighbor and needed to use the phone. I probably would have let him in too.

Did the police say why they had been looking for him ? Hope it wasn't for the same crime. I think if they have photos and info about ANY criminal that invades homes, there should be a website and post it. Just like they do for sexual crimes.



Hell he is prolly in Mexico by now anyway.

I doubt it...do you know how many crimes here go unsolved. That's why people can be so brazen.

If they arrested the guy, and I know Im going to catch hell for this question, but why havent we read about this in the paper? This is a home invasion. I know it can happen any where at any time. Seems to me that crime in Dodge City is getting worse and worse. Im glad they got the guy, and Im glad you and your family is safe. I hope they lock him up and throw away the key.

You know, that's one thing I've noticed about Dodge...there's no police blotter in the paper. I've been to hundreds of small and smaller towns than Dodge and in most of the newpapers that serve those small towns there is a police blotter column detailing the crimes committed over the past week or two. Even if it is a small crime like a car broken into and tapes stolen or something like that. It appears that the editor(s) of the Globe definitely have an agenda to sweep crime under the rug. Instead we get reports from an Amish family in Pennsylvania and how that pole barn got built in 3 days along with her "best fritters ever" recipe.

Yeah...... you are right. What's up with that. This small town paper here at least post the police blotter. With names ....the crime ...and the sentence or the fine of the perp. Conviction of any kind go into the paper. WTF Globe ???? After all it is public record isn't it ???? I wonder if they think its up to the citizens to go to the courthouse and check for themselves.... Its BS

You guys need to know who your neighbors are if they commit a crime. Its not about being nosy......... its being able to protect yourself......
