Neighbors?

One of my friends on this board has advised me to post something that happened to my son and myself. Believe me when I say that I had a hard time deciding what to do! But, if this helps only one person, then it will be worth it!

On Jan. 4, 2008 (Friday) evening at around 9:30PM someone knocked on out door. When I answered it, I saw that it was my neighbor who lived behind us. He said that he needed to use the phone. I told him that I was just on my way to bed, and he said that it was really important, so I let him in. I did not know that he had another person with him. Once they got in, and closed the door, my "neighbor" pulled out a pistol and put it to my head! He said that he wanted all of our money and if I did not do this quickly, he would shoot me. I went over to my desk and was about to get my wallet when he pushed me aside and got it. He took all of the money from it that was going to be used for rent and other bills that we had to pay. It was a large amount! He then went to our key board which had all of our keys on it. He now had keys to all of our doors and vehicles. He looked around probably to see if there was anything else they could take, but decided against it. He then walked back over to where I was sitting and put the gun against the side of my skull and said that if I called the Police, he would come back and kill me and my son. He also made it clear that he was a member of the "Mexican Mafia" and if needed, he would have his "homeboys" come over and do the job! After they had left, I did not tell my son, because my only concern was in protecting him. That is why I stayed up all night and waited until he had gone to work and was away from the house. He called me from his work, and that is when I informed him of what had happened. He then advised me to call the Police. I did that and told them to not send a unit over because he could be around. They advised me to come to the P.D. which I then did. The officer advised me that he knew this individual and had been looking for him for some time now. I hope that by posting this on the board, it does not mess up any investigation that is going on. Lord I hope not! Time will tell. Thank all of you for listening and may God Bless all of you! I hope everything goes well for you and I wish you the best of luck. I would also hope that you have a gun and that you keep it on you when at home for your own protection. If I was you I would also consider getting a CCH license so that you could carry outside of your home as well.

I think you should post his name, address and any other pertinent info about him that you can as a safeguard to all boarders here to be on the lookout for him. I'm glad that you didn't knuckle under and decided to get the popo involved. Take care and stay safe.

That is very scary indeed. I can't understand how in a town no more than 12 miles long you could be looking for someone for a long time. Obviously that officer is the only one looking for him. I'm with Tee - I would say cap his ass cause it seems you don't have any trouble finding this individual. Good luck to ya and thank goodness you are safe. When it's me or them tho - there isn't much of a question as to who's going to wake up next morning.
