| FWIW Anyone who messes up in their youth and is able to finely understand the error of their ways and pulls themselves up out of the muck and mire is by all counts worth a bit of respect. God knows we don't have a brain until we get burnt by sticking our fingers in the fire. Thats how you learn. Some lessons are harder than others, but some of us are more stubborn then others. I dunno. I guess I just think life lessons that are lived mean alot more then someone suggesting its wrong to do that. I sure thought I knew best how to F*ck up my life at times and I certainly went full tilt bozo til I hit the wall. Then you get a BIG OLE WAKE UP CALL. So you either become asset or a liability. Its a choice thing and I think Pootsy has chosen the right path.

| Yes indeed.....an asset or a liability....that's a good way to put it.....I'm going to start looking at people and asking myself if they are an asset or a liability....ehehehehe

Ran out of town hahahaha!! That is a good one. Call me what you want Army, it just shows me that you want to put me down because you are not happy with yourself. Relax Army, it's going to be ok.

| I'm not putting you down. I don't know you. All I am saying is that everytime someone posts something about Dodge you post a big flyer that tells people to leave now like you did. AGAIN...all I'm saying is that it gets tired and old. Obviously others agree. You now get to join TK on the "most ignored poster" list....Have a good day.

| That's it Pootsy - you are exactly correct - finally I see the light. ![]() The more people, like you, who leave Dodge, the more room there is for us. I don't know why I didn't see that before. So, Army let her go - she's actually helping.

| OK, guys - Dodgeboard threads aren't the place for personal attacks on members. Take it to flashchat or somewhere. Pootsy has done a phenomenal job of turning herself around. It's not easy to turn one's life 180 degrees. That she's a little exuberant about the "getting out of Dodge" thing is a little old, but that doesn't call for personal attacks or name-calling. Come on, guys - do it with rep, OK?

| thanks Muffin and others that give me kudos for changing my life. I am proud of myself as well.... I tryly appologize to others about the "move out of DC" thing. Sorry but I was just trying to help. I just do not want to see other kids go through what I did, and if you have kids, think about them...ok???

| I don't think I really encouraged my kids to "move out of" where they were after High School, I just tried to give them a strong sense of right/wrong and an even stronger sense of self. Neither of them lives there now. The place where one decides to live and rear their youngsters is becoming more of a decision now. It used to be that you went where the job opportunities were. Now there are choices and you can raise your kids where you believe in the quality of life. For me, Dodge was pretty good. For my kids, I wanted Overland Park. I guess it was more of an encouragement to "move on" than "move out".

| Ya as a kid I was ok in Dodge; BUT kids nowadays have alot of crap to deal with with the gangs and drugs ect...they cannot be kids. There was some things I had to deal with but overall I had a fun, just took it too far. I believe that kids will be kids; however I do believe Dodge appears to be different than other places. I have heard that from others who moved.
