Politics are so lame

All I can say is the Right is just as lame as the Left and neither side deserves to be in the White house.

I was snickering to myself at the front runners for the Left thinking the Right has November in the bag. My belief is that America in not yet ready for a Black or Female president. I think there's just too many old timers alive yet to elect anybody other than a White Male president.

So I'm thinking the Right has this in the bag and the only way they could loose is for McCain to be the Republican nominee. And so what happens? Politics are just simply lame. Both sides now seem to have made the worst possible choice in nominees and now the Left actually stands a chance.

Imagine whats going to happen when the Left controls everything. Our country and boarders will be wide open to anyone who cares to stray in and live off the pockets of Americans.

I consider myself a Republican but if McCain wins the Republican nomination and Obama wins the Democratic nomination, I'm afraid I'll vote for Obama.

I would probably do the same, unless they come up with a "NONE OF THE ABOVE" voting option. But then, what would they do if "NONE OF THE ABOVE" won the election??

I'm becomming more democratic every day! Merely with statements like no black, no female. Gonna be interesting if the dream team really shows up. Niether side is too interested in immigration and the only side that has a plan that's feasable is the black and female candidate.

Republicans want to close the borders (now that they feel they have to) but really don't have a very feasable plan of what to do with the 12 to 14 million that are here. They don't talk much about it anyhow.

They talk more about staying in Iraq and scaring the hell out of the rest of the world. Republicans just don't seem to play well with others or share the sandbox willingly.

So in the end you are going to have to vote for what CAN be done - not what you wish were done. Time to learn how to play with others I think. Your playmates by the way looks like a black and/or a female or perhaps even both!

I'm not a big McCain fan either BUT an ounce of McCain is better than a pound of Obama or Clinton. McCain isn't conservative enough but it would be ludacris to move all the way to the left and vote for one of THEM just because McCain isn't conservative enough.

As good as that sounds to you Bubba...in a real world that wouldn't happen. Both parties have a lot of supporters.

The older folks I've heard from that were around during the racial issues from the 40's and 50's still seem to carry a bit of resentment. This includes both Blacks and Whites. Many of the Blacks remember being treated unfairly, and many of the Whites fear the Blacks remember being treated unfairly.

As far as the immigration issue, don't be fooled into thinking America has put it on the back burner. That has been the problem all along. Both sides keep forgetting it's a big issue for many, and they will vote accordingly. I know I will.

Many see economics as the major issue but fail to realize our immigration issue has a lot to do with our economic problem. Taking care of the immigration issue will also have a major affect on our economic issue. For those businesses that are taking advantage of immigrants it would be a major impact on their business, for those who avoided the easy money their business would explode. For those who stand to loose from a illegal immigrant hiatus I say sucks to be you.

Some are still asking the question of what to do with the 16 million that are already here. The answer is simple and the same it has been from the start. Take away their reason to be here and they'll export themselves quicker than they were imported. Some people just want you to believe the answer is not a simple one.

While it's important to serve in the military and most people (republicans at least) appreciate people's service and it's favorable for a candidate to do that it should not be the all deciding factor. Reagan never served in the military and he was one of the greatest presidents of the 20th Century.

Yes, but he played one on television many times.

Wasn't the last recession a Regan generated thing?

Politics are only lame when you are rooting for the losing team.
