| Pay the $300 and call it even - it's not such a bad exchange. It will save ya more paperwork than you can imagine!

| How is your landlord going to feel about all this? He may raise your rent to get his money. Victory has had some 'issues' since taking over DC.

| I'm sure they have used more than 300 in electricity since being there. Just cause a mistake was made it doesn't mean you didn't consume electricity. I really think that's a really cheap bill and they may even let you pay it out like $25 a month tacked onto the "right" bill you should have been paying. I don't think you are going to get away free cause even you admit that the bills were too low. Guess you could have planned for the proverbial dropping of the boot and sacked a few bills away in anticipation of this moment. Get the checkbook and get the pen.

| Hey Zeb - In MY world if you wanted to barter........... they would cut your damn lights off. They don't GAF down here. Plus they would flag your account and it would show up on any other electric company you wanted to try. How many electric companies ya got? I use Victory and pay electric bills just like you. I know what it costs to run my house empty and occupied. That's still a pretty good deal to me. My point was and is - grab it while ya can. No one deserves free electric........ unless of course you can put Katrina in front of your name.

Write them about the problem or file and threaten to file a complaint with the Corporation Comission or their Board (whichever applies). Calling them will just have you arguing in futility with someone who has no ability to give you a remedy. It's true with most "customer service" these days. Fortunately, the people who answer the letters are not the same people who answer the phone lines.

| A Victory, maybe I have been on even pay for some time now with Victory. 20 Feb's bill was doubled. (bad news for fixed income individuals). Check book says all previous months were paid. Went out there, asked for a readout on my account. Sure enough I balanced out every month. I asked "How did this happen?" A reply was "Billing error", and "You should not get a bill or owe for March". I will wait and see, a victory, maybe. |

| That sort of thing happened to me in Cimarron a loooong time ago. Except it was phone service. The good folks at the phone company changed billing systems. We quit getting bills. We were a struggling young family and I had just had my first back surgery. Ya think we missed it? No, sirree. We were just glad to have the cash to cover the bills we DID get. They shut our phone off one day, with no notice. Finally got in touch with somebody AFTER I repeatedly called from the neighbors to talk to manager-type people and ended up sending a letter to the KCC. I just laid it all on the line. Yep, we didn't pay, but neither were we billed. KCC sent them a nice little note. Turns out the new billing had a different address for us (even though we'd lived there 6 years). Not my fault. I left my complaint at the KCC until they finally waived the reconnect fee. Then I wrote the KCC back and cancelled my complaint.
