Love my chiropractor too. I was having back issues, and it came down to the next step was gonna be surgery but only after trying one more thing. Have you all heard of the DRX9000?? It is awsome. It worked for me. It took about 6 weeks to do all the treatments. They hook you up to the machine and the machine pulls you just slightly... it does NOT feel like you are being pulled apart. If your back is tender, as mine was, it takes a while to feel better, but I thought this was a much better choice than back surgery!!! If I was you, id check it out.

I went to one once for about 3 months and then ended up going to a real doctor who fixed me in about 2 weeks.

I'll never waste my time or money on one again.

If you guys like chiroprators and think it's helping you then I say great go for it.

Sometimes all you have to do is believe for it to work. Some people believe in faith healers and they swear it's getting better.

Don't know if it works for all, but I see it work for many. I have used aquatic therapy and modalities for pain, Kinesiotaping techniques for the spasms, chiropractic for alignment, therapy for the strengthening and the DRX 9000 spinal decompression for 20 treatments. I have been pain free for the first time in 4 years. I am able to work and play in athletics again without pain. When I feel a twinge of pain returning, I go to the tape and to the chiropractor for an adjustment. I have not yet needed to go to the DRX for any subsequent treatments, yet.

If any of this does not help you (and you should do all of this) then your condition may still require the knife. But I usually see that a person is rarley healed by the knife when it comes to spinal surgeries.

If a person can utilize non-surgical interventions for a few more years, there will be better alternate surgeries to what is now available. Some are being tested on human subjects now, but I would rather wait and not be a guinea pig.

I’m sorry to hear that you had a bad experience once. Your comment sounds like you are referring to something different than what you described when you started this thread.

Attempting a non-intrusive remedy before using an intrusive one is never a waste of time.

I disagree in your comparison to faith healing. If you can understand the science of how proper wheel alignment on a car results in better handling and reduced wear on tires, wheels bearing and ball joints you would understand the science of chiropractics.

I got the needle in the neck today and it was a pretty quick proceedure. All the symptoms that I had are already a LOT better. Plus the added bonus of my right hand being fixed and I didn't even know it was part of the same thing.

I just thought I was getting the carpal tunnel.

They told me I might have a headache for a while and they weren't kidding. it felt like a 4 hour brain freeze but if things keep progressing from here I'm OK with that.
