How bout saying something to the effect of "Actually they do serve beer in the Longbranch, and during the summer months they actually serve dinner on the complex, and in the summer during Dodge City Days, they have a bull fry bash that is worth making special trip to town for. Unfortunately most of that isn't offered during the winter months, as attendance is usually pretty slow. But if you are looking for a good burger and a beer I might suggest Kate's or Cowtown.."

All I'm saying is maybe next time throw them a bone, instead of throwing them a Commissioner's email address....
gunnar,

I get your point, and it is well taken. I should have done both...the bone and e-mail.

Isn't that how the commissioners run business? They throw you a bone, and then they pull it back when you reach out! It won't get any better with the candidates that are running for election. I still wish Mike and Ed would have gotten in last time. I am sure you would have seen a difference by now.

I luuuuuv Boot hill and had I known I could go at no charge - they could of gotten more money out of me on the souvenir shop with the money I woulda saved on admission. I'm a Boot Hill addict. So guess I'm one of the few that actually paid to get in? The times that I went they never offered that info. Sure woulda been nice.

Course when I visit - if I take my utilities bill and house tax statement can I still get in free? Good info tho Clueless - just probably too late for me - the rest of ya - head on down for the beer and sarsaparilla! Good times I had at Boot hill - ever since I was old enough to remember!
Yep, you hit the nail on the head...Boot Hill will probably make more money from locals by NOT CHARGING admission. Actually, we all own the place - so rather than charge ourselves, let's open it up - why don't we have some spring work parties and do some painting and repairing - help get the Church finished - or spray weeds. If we take ownership in Boot Hill, we'll start wanting to make our community investment profitable, rather than trying to bury it. That might lead to taking ownership in other public investments.

Glad someone got my point - it seems it was a point of confusion for someone. I really enjoy Boot hill and actually never feel like I see everything - no matter how often I go. It's an awsome place and there really is nothing like being a part of the process when something is going on there. Course I hear not much really goes on there anymore. Round up basically took the events to the arena. Last year I went to Oktoberfest there the Fidelity folks weren't real excited about the amount of drinking. Has that changed - are they sponsoring it again?
