| Yeah, asking admin to close this is a little heavy handed here. Which thread is next? The simplistic way to end this thread is up to each of us. Don't read it, don't post on it. Then it's closed.

| I agree with Tee. There is nothing to gain/nor lose from this discussion. This is what these boards are all about right? Dont get me wrong, I do have my opinion, but that is all it is.... an opinion. Just like we all have. We are all entitled to it. I am willing to listen to and hear others, with an open mind. That is my 2 cents worth... Ugh. |

| I just see it getting ugly fast, although nothing ugly has been said yet. I agree, though - err on the side of freedom of speech. Ok, then, leave it open....

| In light of the wisdom of the masses, I take back my call to close this thread. It's a good thing you're all here to keep me straight on this kind of thing. I blame it on PTSD! (I can play that card for at least 90 days, then I have to start being accountable again.  )

| Hey all I did with my last post was tell why I thought Sgt. T wanted the thread closed and aren't we getting a little melodramatic about the "oh my poor freedom of speech" rant? it's one thread on a board full of them. it's erring on the side of caution in case the thread turns ugly.

| Dustin, Thanks for helping me out, that really was why I wanted it closed, but I see their point of view. They want a place to rant/discuss/argue, so a place they shall have. Thanks again though!

| Anytime! I agree this is a place for cussing and discussing. But i can also see the need for a bit of control. Leave it open or close it, either way isn't the end f the world to me.

| Personally I think it's a little heavy handed whenever the admins close a thread. There's no reason for it really. If someone's getting out of hand, it's more prudent for admin to deal with it individually than to just close the thread. Very few threads stay on topic anymore and that's just to be expected.

| If some control isn't ept and all we have are a bunch of threads of all of us name-calling, then it's gonna cause some people to stop coming and chase off newer folks who visit.
