| You are correct Hawk but it did not divide the party. This thing between Hillary and BO is dividing the Dems and giving major fuel for the Repubs. What BO has had to go through so far is minor compared to what will happen when the Rebubs and independant (actually Repubs) start on him.

| The exit polls from Tuesday showed over 50% of Hillary supporters would cross over and vote McCain instead of Obama. I predict it would be some of the Obama supporters that would stay home if it goes the other way. He has the youth vote which might be easily disillusioned with their guy losing the primary and aren’t considered reliable to show up in November anyway.

| I don't think so........basically Hillary and Obama are the same on their issues. Hill's supporters will still vote for BO. The problem is going to be like it has been for the last two elections....... The Dems have the support of the younger votes. During the primaries they come out in droves.....come election day, they just are not dedicated enough to go out and vote. You and I both know that young people are notoriously bad about doing anything. They will get out of school....and find something else to do instead of trucking down to the polls and vote. The poor will find reasons and excuses for not voting........ The Repubs base is an older crowd. They will go out and vote, for the most part. The independants will again be the deciding factor. If the Dems could just get the far left fraction of their party to shut up, they would win hands down. The far right fraction of the Repubs, while vocal, do not have the control of the party. The strategy is going to be to try and make McCain look like Bush. I think that will backfire, or not be as good a strategy, since the independants will not see him that way. I truly think BO's inexperience is going to be a death blow for him.

| I may get chastised for this but I have said it before. The white male elects the president, not the black vote, the female vote, the gay/lesbian vote etc. Look at the past elections. Gore and Kerry overwhelmingly won the black vote and where are they now? Obama will have to win the white male vote...good luck. Despite what JHM or anyone believe's there are STILL people in this country both Repub and Dem that will not vote for a black person. (Maybe they will vote the white half of O) That's sad but it's true. If you THINK "Bubba in Alabama" is going to vote for Obama you have another thing coming. I think the thing with Rev Wright...(and the worst is yet to come) will hurt O a lot and hurt him in the ONE demographic he needs to win....white male vote. It's not a matter of IF McCain will win..it's by how much.

| Wait a minute here Binky........it is sad for people to judge someone based on their color (true) but yet you turn right around and base judgement on a person's age? Hmmmmmmmmmm Some see his age as experience. BO has none, zilch, nada.... Would you turn the world over to someone who has no experience but talks a good game? Want to buy a bridge? ![]()

This Bubba votes for Obama, and I'm a white male. I don't like everything, but I think he might put America in a better light in the eyes of some other countries. I definitely feel that McCain is "too old" with the same "tired ideas" that this country has been running on for too long.
