| You mean like Syria, Iran and the Palestine Nation? I want "other countries" to have a positive image of the U.S. also but I'm not willing to elect a leader that will give up what we stand for in order to gain favor with terrorist nations. Obama wants to sit down with the nut job from Iran.....Like Clinton talking with North Korea...he gave them money and oil to stop their nuke production and they spit in his face by USING the money he gave them to help develop their nuke program.

Age has NOTHING what so ever to do with the presidency and to think it does IMHO is utterly stupid.

How old is McCain? The baton is being passed backwards not forward. Doesn't the US want to move forward? If it does then it needs a Democrat President, preferably Obama, thats just my opinion, of someone who cares about the US and its people, and who is tired of the incompetence of the Bush administration. Quote:
Sure brave US fighting men & women fought alongside their British, Canadian, & Australian allies - we were all engaged in a very defining world war that pitted the forces of freedom & democracy against dark evil forces of fascist tyranny. But let us not forget that every dollar & cent lent to Britain under Lend-Lease had to be repaid with interest and it wasn't until December 2006 that Britain was able to finally make its last repayment of $83m to clear the debt - over 60 years since the end of WW2! So you're right in one sense ksgrainman, we did owe the US something! A hell of a lot of money!! Let us not also forget that certain people & companies within the US were deeply involved in supporting the rise of the Nazi's. Bush's grandfather was involved right up to 1942! Quote:
Henry Ford, the automobile manufacturer, James D. Mooney, the General Motors manager and Tom Watson, the IBM boss, were all awarded the Grand Cross of the German Eagle, the Nazis' highest distinction for foreigners, for their services to the Third Reich. Hitler's American Business Partners - The US firms who helped the Nazis - TV pick of the day for March 1st

What makes you think the USA is not moving forward? Exactly how have we moved backwards? Did I wake up this morning and forget to wind my watch ahead to Europe or something? It really does not matter what party our President is associated with, it matters what THEIR character and personal agenda is. The Dems have controlled the purse strings for quite awhile now. If they truly did not want this war, or truly believed it is unjust, all they had to do was refuse to give the money for it. They will stand up and yell from the tallest steps in Washington about how horrible it is, how horrible Bush is for doing this, how unjust it is........but they still allow for the money to be spent. Why is that? Why is it your opinion that only a Democrat cares about the country? Exactly what incompetence has Bush shown other than getting involved with a war you feel is unjust? Is it incompetence, or is it merely decisions you and others just disagree with? Just how is BO going to get the world to "like" us? Will it entail us having to pay more money to other countries? Will it entail us having to go with decisions that put us at risk? Why would, or should, we care what France, Germany, Russia and other countries "think"? Maybe you missed it but those governments were involved with Saddam and the "oil for food" scam. Might be why they were against any actions to begin with, you think? Why haven't they, with all their military and world political clout, done anything about Darfur, North Korea and other nations? Russia kills it's own people to keep the countries within it from becoming independant. France gets sued by it's people because they expect the government to garuntee jobs and money for them. Spain's elections were controlled by terrorists........So, why do you think it is imprtant that they all like us? They can't find their way out of a paper bag without a map...........so how are they going to tell us how to do anything? Tell you what, next time elections come up in your country be sure and pick the person who is the youngest, has only studied in college how to be political, has the least amount of any experience but talks real nice. Those seem to be what you, in your opinion, makes for a good president.
