Okay, I realize I like to bitch, but today we got home from vacation. Needed to run to the store to get a few things, and, of course, I made the wrong choice and went to Walmart. They were out of gallon skim milk!!! There were just a few half gallons. I don't get it.........................

Went to local Dillons today and they had gallons but no halves of skim.

Conspiracy, I think.

Milk

Sometimes Wal-Mart or anyone has a say in what kind of milk they have. They can place the order for what they need or what they think they will sell. But Hiland dairy has the final say in what they deliver. I learned that first hand from a hiland person when I was in there one day and they were out of milk. Made me kind of happy that they took the blame for walmart being out of it.

New Low for Wal-Mart Associates

I went to Wal-Mart for the last time! My 17 year old son wanted to buy a bicycle the other day. We looked around for about 5 minutes and decided on the one. No associate was ever seen. I called Wal-Mart from my cell phone and asked for help in toys for a bicycle. After 5 minutes I called again. The lady said she got so busy that she forgot to call someone. At that time another couple arrived looking for a bicycle. After 5 more minutes I reached for the phone to call again. Just then the other couple flagged down an associate. The lady said she would go get someone that could help. Another associate arrived to help the other couple and then walked away. I had to almost run to catch up with the associate to tell her that I also needed help. I said I had requested help 10 minutes ago and she rudely replied “No you didn’t, that other couple did!” The other couple was still there and corrected the associate. Finally the associate rudely replied “What do you need?” I pointed to the bicycle on the top shelf. She then said “How am I supposed to get that?” Needless to say I was shocked by her rudeness and said that I guess I could take my $150 somewhere else. She rudely said “Why don’t you do that.” and walked away.

FYI: My next visit was with an assistant manager. I’ve not been back to shop since. I worked at Wal-Mart for 4 years in my early 20’s. Neither party was Hispanic except for my 17 year old step daughter and the assistant manager. I drink 2% milk and buy my meds at Dillons. LOL

dillons sale prices are lower than crapmarts edlp's(everyday low prices). yeah they will meet sale prices IF they are specific prices but it's not worth the hassle ot get them approved. i'll just buy from dillons at least some of my money will come back to kansas that way.

I would have lost my fing mind if they would have treated me like that. I would have got the employees name, brought a manager to the scene and called the home office in Arkansas as I stood there with them. That is just profane to be treated like that. Out of curiosity what did the assistant manager say? I would think going to them is a waste of time....they are not part of the solution they are part of the problem. If they were doing their job they wouldn't have employees acting like that.

Who's the manager now a days at WalMart? Has anyone else noticed that they've been running out of alot of things!! Especially 4 packs of 12 crayola crayons!!!

It's close to impossible in getting any help there, I've asked for help a few times in the baby dept for a high chair and a walker, I ended up leaving because it took so long. I loathe going to wal mart, and have been making mroe frequent trips to dillions.

In my mind, and the very reason I don't shop at Wal Mart (thankfully, I have other good choices up here....it sucks that Dodge doesn't), that particular retailer talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk.

They talk about friendly employees. But there are none. They talk about lower prices. Really? I guess some might be.

Employees are going to be friendly when they get the hint that their very salaries depend on it. Wal Mart has too much of a problem attracting employees to be so picky as to find good ones. Some of it is the demands they place on employees and some of it is their bad rep.

The best thing? If it's something I can wait 2 days for and Wally's absolutely has the best price hands down in their ad (more than a .50 difference), I'll go online and compare/buy from ANY other retailer. I haven't stepped foot in any Wally store up here in ages. And I hope I don't have to. I can get my prescriptions from any Walgreen for the same $4 it would have cost at Wal Mart.....with less than half the crap. So what's my incentive.

If all towns can remove that incentive, Wally will have to close stores. They cater to folks who don't have other choices (illegals, etc), so they will be in business for a long, long time.

Wow, I'm glad to see that I'm not the only person that feels the same way many of you do about this town, only now I can actually talk about it with people who feel that way.

I have never personally had a racist experience at Wal-Mart, but I have never had a positive experience either. I have stood and waited for a very long time in sporting, and always experience the wild hispanic kids running around, especially on those stupid little shoes that have one wheel in them.. I hate to admit it but I have thought several times about clothes lining them.

I have had a racist experience in Dodge at McDonalds though, a hispanic girl was working the counter and there were hispanics in front of me, and behind me. The girl got done serving the people in front of me, looked at the people behind me and asked if she could help them. I was so enraged that I just had to walk out because that's how I have always been, when I get mad I walk away from it. I should have went off the handle on her, but honestly in this town will it do any good?

I've also noticed, Sundays are a horrible day to go to Wal-Mart, I try to avoid it at any cost but usually I have just that one stupid little thing that I have to get. Alot of you talk about how they walk with the family side by side down the aisles, what I can't stand is how they all crowd around and talk booga booga to eachother blocking the walking way of anyone and just don't have a care in the world for anyone.

Does it really do us any good to complain about it on our computers though, I mean is there not something that we could actually do about this? Kind of re-gain things and say "Hey, we're tired of your shit." I already call this town Little Mexico, and I seriously believe that before we know it we might get ran out of this town. This is getting absolutely ridiculous.

Welcome to that "friendly" little town of Dodge City! Walmart has gotten to be the "monopoly" in this town. As the local businessman goes out of business from places like Walmart, you are forced to shop there. I try to buy everything I can from Dodge City owned businesses, but it is getting to be very hard to do.
