If you have a job, it makes no difference where or what you do you still have to earn respect to receive any. That is what is missing from wallyworld. You have to work at doing a good job because that is what you are paid to do. If you don't like the job, QUIT don't take it out on customers. If they would do their job they wouldn't get yelled at or disrespected. Don't tell me to walk a mile in their shoes. Been there, Done that and did it a lot better them what is being done now.

That is EXTREMELY presumptuous of you! I started this bitch thread and I can tell you that I have, on many occasions, submitted positive surveys, gave a thumbs up to the manager for a job well done by an employee and even submitted one clerks name for a contest they were having years ago, for which she won a button. At Christmas time, I called the manager and gave them very gleaming feedback on a clerk that went above the call of duty to help me find some blankets (I think her name was Helen). Other employees who's names I remember that do a very outstanding job are Rory (in automotive) and Scott (in electronics).

So don't come on here a spout a bunch of crap about us walking in their shoes and claim to know what we would or would not do. You can't possibly know what you are talking about with respect to what we would do, simply because you work there.

You think you are above that line of work
I worked many crappy jobs, much worse than Walmart. No matter what I did, I did it to the best of my ability. My grandfather always said "No jobs worth doing if it's not worth doing to the best of your ability".

I can honestly say that I have never treated someone in a discriminatory manner. For you to ask that it be overlooked is nuts!!

Sure you can save money at Walmart. I had a tire patched there today- it was under 10 bucks- cheaper than most any place in Dodge. Nobody said that Walmart has no positive qualities.

What we are saying is that nobody has the right to discriminate! Even when they are Mexicans discriminating against Whites. If it had been the other way around, you'd probably be screaming bloody murder.

BTW- Welcome to Dodgeboard!

My beef is with corporate because when we were victims of check fraud WalMart was the only one out of dozens of businesses that attempted to prosecute us. Screw the greedy bastards.

You can get $4 prescriptions at Dillons.

Wal-Mart Won't Sell These

Labor Day is almost here—and whether you’'ll celebrate it at a picnic, parade or backyard barbecue, you’ll need a T-shirt that celebrates, too.

These are not shirts you’ll find at Wal-Mart. All these tees from The Union Shop Online are union-made in the USA of 100 percent cotton. And they each carry the kind of message you want to sport for Labor Day—the one and only workers’ holiday.

Get ready for Labor Day—order your T-shirts today below, or see all the great clothing from The Union Shop Online

Maybe just once say Thank You to one of there associates. You might see how much help you get. If you want to continue to complain go ahead but then I say walk a mile in there shoes. I know none of you would. You think you are above that line of work. That you are to good for it. So I say Thank You Wal-Mart. For the $4.00 perscription plan with out it my meds would be over $500.00 a month. With Wal-Mart they are only $60.00 a month. And I have no insurance. But I work and I'm not on welfare. There slogan is correct. Saving money so you can live better. I know there are alot of things wrong with our walmart here in Dodge but I have to say its the best one I've been in.

I have a HUGE problem with this, why should I thank a walmart employee when they have done nothing to help me and if you ask for help you get the cold shoulder or nothing but attitude because you interrupted their "talk time" with buddies. If I didn't have to hunt them down for a question and they were nice in their answer then yes I do thank them. I agree that most of their stuff is a lot cheaper than anywhere else and that's why I do shop there, but if there was someplace else with the same prices I would go there in a heartbeat. I went a few weeks ago to get a key made, and there were 2 people standing at the counter talking, so I patiently waited until they were done, then a family they both knew walked in to get their car worked on and they just bypassed me like I was invisible. Needless to say I was not very happy or nice and told them they could shove their key up their a** and walked out. I went to True Value and got helped with no problems, I probably paid a lot more there than I would have at Walmart but I will not go back to the automotive department for help ever again. Oh and just so you know none of these people involved were hispanic.

I think Wal*Mart has become numb to complaints. There are some good caring employees at Wal*Marts, it's just that there are far more that don't give a sh!t.

Have you ever seen an employee you complain about get fired? I doubt it because Wal*Marts doesn't take complaints that serious. At least not here. Complaining has become expected and does not receive the attention it deserves. I've seen the excuse like "what do you expect from minimum wage?" I expect the same service I would receive from the owner.

It should be of great concern why "everyone rags on Wal*Mart."

It's very simple...

they know you'll be back so, why bother?

Exactly! Most stores are minimum wage, yet I don't see/hear as many complaints about Dillons, True Value, Walgreens, Alco etc.... I have always been greeted and asked if I need help finding anything at 98% of all "minimum wage" stores I go into.
