I just hope their service improves soon. I'm a fairly patient person, but last weekend about put me over the edge. I think there were 4 checkers and lines were backed up to the hilt. We ended up doing a self ck out which is a pain considering the amounts we get on our weekend visits. I wanted so badly to just park my cart and re-shop at Dillons. When you are in the service business, YOU can't expect people to not bitch from time to time, but Walmarts needs to recognize and admit there's a serious problem NOW in DODGE CITY. Denying there is a problem will not make anyone happy and WE WILL shop elsewhere. That is our only power in retail.

| i have walked a mile in their shoes. in fact i ve been retail my whole life(so far), there is no excuse for walmart. the manager in the store sets the tone for the whole store. if he is customer service oriented then the store will follow suit. |

| It costs Walmart over $2000.00 to hire and train a new employee so that is why they do not fire would be my guess.

| I think you missed what the "bitchin" was about middle. I REFUSE to thank ANYONE who treats me like my business is not needed or appreciated. I really could give a rats ass about "walking in their shoes" since 99% of us have at one point. Customer service is just that, SERVICE, and those who work in a customer service industry need to DELIVER such service. Waiting 45 minutes so some grinning idiot can FINALLY show up to DO HIS JOB does not bring out the "nice" in me. Discriminating against me, wether I am white/green/purple/male/female/tall/short/stinky/pretty or damn fugly, also does not bring out a "Thank You". Funny how in every other damn store in this town you have somebody come up and ask you "Can I help you?" Now why should I go hunt down somebody to help me find something in WalMart? I bet you if I walked out with a tv under my arm, I would get ALOT of help rather quickly.

| You guys probably see it more at Wally's because that's one of the only choices in discount stores there. Here, I shop mostly at Target - it's closer to the house and the employees are usually great. However. I went to the Target in Lee's Summit for something stupid one day while I was at work. They had only two lines open and people were stacked 15 or 20 deep. I had only 2 or 3 things and needed a quick getaway, so I went to the service counter. The guy told me he'd be with me in a minute and turned his back. Then he proceed to carry on a personal conversation with someone in the back room. THEN HE WENT INTO THE BACK ROOM. When another person finally asked again if I needed help, I told her I wanted to talk to the manager. I told the manager what had happened and asked if she could help me check out. She did and as I left, she was pulling the first guy aside. I'll go back, even after a poor experience - just because I could see that the manager cared enough to try to make changes. That's all any of us really want. Somebody to give a sh!t. Our money is just as green as anybody else's.
