| World has gone CRAZY! I found this story on MSNBC. It is about a 3 year old little girl and how throughout her whole life, was abused by her own FATHER! And, he did this with the full knowledge of the Mother who did nothing, and said nothing to anyone about this! How on this earth could something like this be going on her in the United States of America? I am going to try and put the computer address down for all to see! I found this story on; Father Charged In Beating Death Of Toddler - News - MSNBC.com The Medical Examiner’s Office said she died of blunt impact injuries to her head, torso and extremities. The victim also had liver and intestinal lacerations, a contusion to her lungs and rib fractures, the medical examiner said. It was classified as child abuse syndrome and ruled a homicide. Ginelis Jimenez allegedly had her arm broken by Michael Jimenez in January. Kimberly Centos is alleged to have heard her daughter’s arm snap and then her scream. Law enforcement officials told News 4 New York she did nothing to help the child or prevent future injuries. In June, Michael Jimenez allegedly beat his daughter and broke her collarbone before throwing her into a bedroom, News 4 New York has learned from law enforcement sources. Again, Kimberly Centos is accused of doing nothing to stop the alleged abuse. You just have to wonder, what the hell is going on in this world when "people" can do this to a child let alone your own child! What is going on in this world when something like this happens? Just makes me sick! Thanks to all for just listening! God Bless! |

| The world is full of "sickos"! The justice system doesn't help much. If they just started shooting the skumbags instead of "catering" to them, it might be somewhat of a deterent! |

From my perspective, they should all be hung by their balls and pray for a slow, painful death.

Where have you been hiding? Come out from under your stone and volunteer for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children Worth Saving)

| For those of you who do not know what CASA is... Court Appointed Special Advocates is a national program started by a Judge in Seattle. It has been around since, I think, 1981, if I remember right. CASA volunteers advocate, through the court system, for abused and neglected children. Let me tell you a true story from my experiences (one of the nicer stories) -- An officer went to a residence that housed a mother and 4 children. The police were called because someone was concerned about the children. The house was so filthy, the officer had to leave the living room and run through the front door to vomit. No kidding. The children were split up because no one foster family had room for 4 kids. Now, these children had always depended upon each other and the split was devestating for the children (all under 7 years old). Eventually, I met with the father of the oldest child. He didn't even know he was the father until SRS became involved. He tried to be a father, but had no experience, nor did he even want to be the father (he had never bonded with the child). And, he had his own problems with a bad marriage and alcohol. This father, during the 6 months he tried to take care of the child, bought the boy a bike. The first bike this kid had ever had. It was a dream. Well, when SRS removed the kid from his Dad, they left everything, clothes and all. I kept in contact with the dad. One day, he agreed to meet me in Pratt (1/2 way) and deliver the bike. You wouldn't believe the smile on the boy's face when he saw me pull the bike out of my van. Twelve years later, graduated from high school, this young man comes to my house and hugs me, tells me about his life and his fears. He even reminds me of his bike and what it meant to have someone care. Now, believe me, not all stories are this good. I have another CASA child that began in the system at 18 months old and is now an adult with a horrible criminal history. If anyone wants to be a part of a solution, please call CASA, 225-1278, or any other community- or child-geared agency. There is a great need in Dodge City, or your city. Please consider. We all have the time for OUR important things, what about the children. Look into Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Stop the Violence, CASA, foster care, Kid's Count, United Way, etc. I will now step down from my soap box. And thank you all!

| There's a lady who belongs to the same insurance organization I belong to who has been a CASA volunteer here for as long as I can remember. Typically, our Christmas project is something CASA has indicated a need for. They do some great work - there aren't enough social workers out there and CASA helps fill the void. I can't say enough good about them.
