Have any of you heard of a bunch of a-holes who go to funerals of soldiers killed in Iraq to protes? My son , who rides a Harley told me about them today. A group of bikers go to the same funeral and try to disrupt the protesters. He and other bikers from here have been invited to Garden Saturday to a funeral to agitate the a-hole protesters. As the young man from Garden City whose service is this weekend was involved in law enforcement in Finney County, the Phelps idiots probably shouldn't count on much police protection for their protest. I agree horse, what those nutjobs are doing is degrading to the memories of soldiers. I understand the right to free speech and the such, but some people abuse it nonetheless.

I was in Topeka for a soccer tournament last fall. Sunday morning as we drove to the tourney, we witnessed a Phelps gathering at a church. Complete with signs. Even children were holding signs. That's the sad part, I think - they're teaching that hatred to young people. I thought it was sad then and I don't know how I would react if I were honoring a brave soldier by attending a funeral and had to see Phelps' group.

Don't you all think it is disrespectful to the families who have lost a family member to have to deal with either one of those groups? They are there to grive not to listen to someones SB. Not the protesters or the protesters protesting the protesters. Some one just might forget what they are doing there.

That's the whole idea of the Harley group. They don't say a word, they just run their engines on the bikes so that nobody can hear the ass wipe protestors that follow Phelps.

If it is so upsetting what the patriot riders are doing, then why did some of the families invite them to stick around for beverages and such? I think what they are doing is great, and at least they are doing something to counteract what those other mindless idiots are doing. I give the Patriot Riders enormous credit.

The bikers are invited. As I understand it many from Dodge are going to Garden Saturday because they were asked to.
