An Open Letter to Illegal Immigrants
By Doug Giles

Jan 28, 2006

If I were a Mexican stuck in Mexico, I, too, would grab a jug of aqua, stuff fistfuls of tortillas into a bandana, then tie that knap sack onto the end of a long stick and start my slog north for the Promised Land.

What would be the rationale for my exodus from Santa Ana land? Well, one big reason is the zero opportunity in Mexico. Mexico’s economic future is about as bright as Leif Garrett’s singing career. I’m talking there is nada for the average José. Look, Vicente Fox can only hire out so many pool boys, chefs, drivers, maids, migrant map makers and mistresses. For the rest of the national workforce . . . well, you’re pretty much SOL: sure-outta-luck.

Eclipsing the economic disaster are two other reasons why, if I were a Mexican living in Mexico, I’d be putting the Sierra Madres in my rearview mirror and heading for Marfa: namely, Telemundo and Univision. Yes, if those were the only two channels I could watch on my black and white Philco after a 16-hour day of picking mangos in exchange for two chickens, I would walk through the desert for hundreds of miles, brave banditos, eat horny toads, drink mud, bake in the sun, swim the Rio Grande, scale the Big Bend mountains and wrestle pumas just to get away from that tacky entertainment and to get here to the States where I could enjoy Fox News and OLN. Therefore, as compassionate conservatives, we’ve got to cut these guys some slack. We, too, would want out of such a dysfunctional banana republic.

Now, having said that, let me address mi amigos that want to move into our amazing Land-O-Plenty: Would you mind immigrating legally and learning English? Because, you see, our legal citizens are getting increasingly fed up with your criminal relocation dreams. That’s right. Our American buddies on the Arizona, California, New Mexico and Texas borders are especially sick of . . .

• Having their land trashed like a hotel room after Motley Crew spent the weekend there. [One Indian Reservation picks up trash to the tune of six tons a day. Would you please stop that? It’s rude, and it’s threatening the existence of a certain lizard and the Sonoran Pronghorn antelope. Thanks.]
• Having their ranches’ fencing routinely cut and vandalized.
• Having to pick up your pill bottles, used needles and syringes.
• Having to find the half eaten remains of their pets left from one of your impromptu BBQ’s.
• Having their homes burglarized.
• Having their daughters raped.
• Having their vehicles stolen.
• Having their property value plummet.
• Having their sedate streets become unsafe requiring their children to be placed under lock and key after sunset.
• Having to pick up and discard Muslim prayer rugs and literature strafed about the place. [BTW . . . when did so many Catholic Mexicans convert to Islam? I didn’t get that brief. Would you explain that to me?]
• Having the arduous and unpleasant chore of scraping human feces off their front lawns in the morning.

Call us Americans fastidious, but we no likey the aforementioned; and the above is not causing us to take a shining to your desires to resettle here.

Let me help would-be Mexican immigrants understand exactly where we’re coming from. Our nation’s leniency regarding immigration has been used as a night stick to whup our own butt. Our nation’s compassionate openness, plus the corrupt incompetence of the former INS, plus our government’s greed for foreign capital equaled a rolled-out welcome mat for the 9/11 terrorists and other thieves and thugs who looked to use us while they attempted to destroy us. So excuse us, por favor, if we don’t seem too giddy about receiving new guests into our home; we’re still cleaning up after the last ones who tried to destroy the place.

Look, if you want to come here and visit, work or possibly live in the US of A, you must understand that it is a privilege. Be very clear on one fact: it is NOT a right. We don’t have to do anything.

In addition, we want people who dream the American dream [once again, in English], who crave what we crave and who will approach us respectfully, legally and . . . if you don’t mind terribly . . . pardon my redundancy, in English. And get this straight: our demand for a more stringent border has nothing—nothing!—to do with xenophobia. Rather, it is rooted in a love for our country. We like it here. We see it as a privilege and an honor to live here. And we want to make sure that when letting others join us in this privilege and honor, we are rewarding the credible who have waited, not the criminal who has manipulated. So, my advice is to immigrate correctly . . . do it right . . . and if you choose not to—don’t think it unkind if you get tossed on your head right back to where you came from.

I guess why immigrants from Mexico pushes my buttons is the way I feel toward their right to migrate.

Where were they when American's fought and died to settle this land? Unlike most other immigrants, they were only a stone throw away but too dam lazy to get off their butts and help. Only after America became the promise land did they have an interest in moving here. Like a leach that only infests and consumes the work of others.

There is an estimated 100+ million people in Mexico and they can't get organized enough to clean the garbage out? If Mexico is such a wreck why don't they do something about it? Because it so much easier to move somewhere already cleaned up. Don't take this as a I hate Mexicans remark because thats not the case, I just don't care for letting lazy peoples moving to America because its easy pickins.

Not meaning to change the subject but heres something about our history that has always kinda pissed me off.

History always credits American's for founding and settling America. True enough. So why is it when history speaks of the atrocities against the native Indians it aways the white-man? Every time history speaks of the bad things in American history, its always the white-mans doings. If the white-man is credited for all the bad doings it took to settle America, shouldn't they also be credited for what America is today?

Why is it when history speaks of the atrocities against 'the white-man' by the red-man such as mutilating and skinning their enemies it makes excuses like 'it was a religious act' or 'it was part of their culture.' but when the, 'white-man' not American's, killed it was a pure selfish barbaric act?

The down fall of the Native Indian was from a lack of organization between tribes. American's have always been able to rally together for a common cause. The Native Indians, however, were happy to help the Americans, or as history writes it the white man, defeat their fellow red skins belonging to another tribe. Had they been able to overcome their self-serving wants to rid the land of their own kind for their own benefit and banded together, they would have easily defeated the Americans... er white man.

Its the same with slavery. Like the white-man was the only ones to have slaves. Even blacks had slaves, but history doesn't spend much time on that part of the slavery issue. No it seems history is a bit racists itself.

Thats why I say coming to America is fine but leave your culture at the door like the rest of us did.

Credit card cramming by MSN Music

From the Night Shift Pastor of the "Good Church of the Mildly Annoyed"

Quote:
Beware, Scam and bogus credit card charges

I just noticed the other day a charge from a company called Rewards Reservations.

My account had been charged $9. I traced and found that on their website, a membership was in place in my name, with acct info, name and address.

Problem was that the only account that I have, or do any business with that uses the e-mail address that was on that account is one I have with MSN music.

Seems that Microsoft is allowing this company access to accounts and allowing unauthorized accounts to be opened.

I did a search on the web and found forum discussions dealing with the scam dating back to 2003.

Call my bank to report the unauthorized use and charges, call to BBB of Lake Charles, a call to the States Atty Gen Office, and the FBI office of Internet Fraud, and of course getting in touch with the ReservationRewards customer service department.

The customer service department canceled the membership of course and stated matter of factly that they would not credit my account with the unauthorized charges.

I then told the woman again that the conversation was being recorded for my records on advice of my atty, she acknowledged this and then I gave her the name and 1-800 number of my attorney, asked for her supervisors name numbers for him to call her within the hour.

She asked me to hold, pause with elevator music, her supervisor came back on and introduced herself, I asked for her dept ext number and her desk number, she complied.

She immediately told me that a credit was being applied to my account as we were speaking at that moment. She repeated her statement of "we regret any inconvenience and that the last thing her company wanted was an unhappy member". Holy Freakin Cow Toes.

I reminded her that my atty would be calling as soon as I called him to give him her information. I also let her know that the City Atty, BBB of LC and La, the States Atty Gen office and the FBI fraud dept had been contacted and that I had made statements to all concerning their practices.

The "twit" actually said that with me receiving a credit of all charges that I should be satisfied with that and not have made the accusations to the authorities. What is it about a felony theft and access that she and her company does not understand.

I then called my atty, gave him her numbers and let him loose with a vengeance. Scruffy lil bastxxd that he is.

The damn company has a major website, which by the way pays Google to be allowed to side bar advertise on their site when you do a search. Not to be a random hit, but to be placed at the top right hand side of the page of your search queary.

I have also sent cc emails to google referencing this company and will add google as well as MSN Music to the Scam blog which turned up the original scam info, as google is a paid and duped willing partner. Their in bed with them because of the advertising. Can't make me believe that they don't know after this many years.

What a pain this crap is. But I'm getting and have gotten many jollies from this. Takes care of any erictile problems I'll have for the next 30 years, should I live that long.

Last word. BBB does not see any thing in error of what this company has done. This is the quote I got on the phone. I had her send me an email stating the same and received it for my records. So much for the BBB. Waste of oxygen there. I also let the agent with the Fed and the States Atty office know what the BBB had offered. They were a little taken aback by the statements. Especially with the return email I had for record.

The state is telling me that the company is on their list of active fraud/scam complaints for unauthorized billings and have added me to their list of complaints by name and contact info. Rather lenghty conversation there.

The Fed, interview by private returned call to my apartment by a local agent, whom I also gave copies of all correspondence emails and recorded conversations the next day, went well. He picked the information packet I had at the front gates where I work. Talk about helpful. Had tounges wagging with me talking to the dark suit in the dark Ford Sedan.

Chase Bank is telling me, actually the operator I talked with, that she has received several complaints and "stop future charge actions" against the same company, in my area as well.

I received a credit for the full amount, with an acknowledgement from that company that all membership has been cancelled and no further debits would appear. Pricks

My atty has found information of a class action against the company and doing research in the state of La for same. I gues the greedy lil bassttard is seeing dollar signs. Fess'd up that his wifes nephew had the same problem using Amazon.com, same company, same type of charging.

From doing searches of this type of fraud/scam with this company, they are getting our information from hundreds of companies on the web, such as MSN, classmates.com, Amazon.com, etc.

All this crap for stealing $9 at a time per person. I guess this kind of crap can add up to big monies over time. I need to rethink my retirement activities.

As I find out more, I'll update this thread.

WTF?? Are all Mexicans lazy??? That's the way you make it sound...lol. Yikes.

We don't want LAZY people here period. We have plenty of our own. Look at all the cockroaches in New Orleans that were too lazy to leave the city before the storm and now want everyone to take care of them. Talk about Lazy!!!
