Palin's palm-prompter: How Sarah sneakily consulted her notes during her $100,000 appearance at tea party rally

She chided Barack Obama for his frequent use of the teleprompter - but sarah palin proved she is not above using a handy reminder over the weekend.

The former vice presidential candidate was speaking at the first ever national 'tea party' convention on Saturday when she sneaked a quick - and not so subtle - peek at notes written on her hand.

The embarrassing moment was caught on film during a question-and-answer session after mrs palin gave a rousing speech to activists at the rally in Nashville, Tennessee, on the weekend.

covert: Sarah Palin appears to consult her palm during a question-and-answer session at the tea party rally in Nashville on Saturday

crib sheet: Sure enough, closer examination of video footage showed Mrs Palin did indeed have some handy buzzwords written on her palm

it came just minutes after she gave the keynote speech to the convention, during which she said in reference to Mr Obama: 'this is about the people ... And it's a lot bigger than any charismatic guy with a teleprompter.' (what about a palm-prompter Sarah?)

and this relates HOW to a president that cannot speak WITHOUT a teleprompter, no matter what the occasion??
could you do interviews, speechs, Q and A's without notes at some point, binky? would you remember it all, know it all from day 1?

He spoke just fine with the GOP on national TV without a telepromter - course Fox didn't cover all that but trust me he can speak just fine without a teleprompter.

I don't care if Sarah writes her notes on the interviewers forehead to honest with ya - it's her content I have issues with. I think she's gonna be a hellofa candidate if she runs. I wish her well and I hope she runs. She is a hoot to watch! I love her. She is just fascinating.

he has a whole lot more "gotcha" mistakes with a teleprompter than successes without one.

i don't care if you continue to make fun of her or not--that is your perogative. sooner or later a bunch of you are going to have to take her and her content seriously!

I'm sorry Sunshine - I really do like her, I wasn't making fun of her.

I just don't buy the stuff she's sellin. She is a little too radical for me. I do like her tho and wouldn't want you to feel I am making fun of her. I can't help it if I find her entertaining. I liked Elvis too but wouldn't of voted for him.

At least Palin didn’t call a corpsman a corpse-man three times within seconds. She did find out the lefties were making a big deal over the notes and the next day she showed up with “Hi Mom!” on her palm to publicly mock them.

WOW! It has seemed to me through your posts that you thought her little more than a barbie doll and fodder for putdowns. I am glad that you are giving her a chance. I don't buy everything she says either, but i think she is a breath of fresh air where much, much more fresh air is needed. I think she has the potential to make a lot of difference in our country, whether she ever runs in any capacity again or not.

I still don't think Palin is even close to presidential material, but I don't have a problem at all with the "hand-prompter". I think notecards would be better, but whatever works. I have found that the most effective type of speech is one in which you have structured main points, but you just talk about them. You have a conversation with your audience. That is what she appears to be doing, she knows what she wants to talk about and she just lets it flow. I prefer that method of delivery to just reading something from a teleprompter. It is better when what you say comes from the heart.

I agree, but it was used during the Q & A, not during her speech. Want to bet she knew what was coming?
