| I just can't understand how these illegalls keep thinking they should have the same rights afforded real Americans. Boycott organizers are demanding amnesty and the chance for the estimated 11 million to 12 million illegal immigrants in the United States to earn citizenship. Gutierrez compares their struggle with that of American colonists against British rule more than 200 years ago. "The great slogan of the American Revolution was 'No Taxation Without Representation,'" he said. "Millions of human beings today and for many years are being taxed, and they have absolutely no representation. In fact, they are being bashed every day and humiliated." http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/04/28/boycott/index.html

| One big difference between the British rule analogy is that the colonists burned the British flag and revered the new America as their home, not the other way around. I am so sick of seeing people who desperately want to be an American, but burning or disprespecting our American symbols and laws- it just doesn't make sense to me. I would feel a little different about those that attempt to learn English, assimilate and tout America as their new home. Fact is, they do not consider this land their home- that is why they send their paychecks "home".
