| Rosie O'Donnell Named New 'View' Co-Host Thank goodness I don't watch or ever will watch this show. Rosie O'Donnell is a pig. They replace an award winning journalist with a pig........nice. Rosie already failed once. The views rating's will probably end up in the toilet like Air America. Access Hollywood has learned that Rosie O'Donnell will be named as the newest co-host of "The View," replacing the exiting Meredith Vieira. ABC will reportedly make the official announcement will be made tomorrow, Friday, April 28. O'Donnell will replace Vieira who is leaving to replace the departing Katie Couric on NBC's "Today." NBC chose Vieira over several internal candidates, including weekend "Today" anchor Campbell Brown, newswoman Natalie Morales and "Today" newsreader Ann Curry. Brown and Morales had subbed for Couric on "Today" while she was on vacation at the end of last month. "Meredith's vast experience as an award-winning journalist, as well as talk show host, make her the ideal candidate for this job," said Jeff Zucker, CEO of the NBC Universal Television Group.
