A generation of slackers?

Hilliary made a comment that was interesting. She says one of the problems we have is todays kids seem to be a "generation of slackers." Todays kids are unwilling to do many of the jobs important to establishing a good work pattern.

I know we often say its not that they won't do the jobs but that they won't do they jobs for the money. Now I fully agree for the older workforce but for these young kids just entering I agree they're expecting too much.

My first jobs paid crap but were important in my introduction to work and helped to establish my work habits I have today. I think parents today are to blame for this generation of slackers and also are helping to fuel our immigration problems.

I deal with today's generation daily. We call them the millenium generation. Their basic philosophy is that things are "owed" to them as opposed to what we were taught that we had to work for what we have. They are a want a now generation. Brought up on fast food, instant food and instant gratification.
