From what I'm hearing around town everyone plans to be at this meeting and the shits gonna fly.

There is also a petittion going around for residents of Ford County to sign to put a stop to the permit that would allow them to continue. I have signed it. I also plan to attend the meeting on the the 28th of August. Which is my birthday by the way, and I could think of no better present than to see this come to a screeching halt.

JunkAndGarbage otta rethink their composting plans cuz it looks like the big boys got's a better idea:

As envisioned in a complex flow chart outlining the plans, waste from one facility would be used to help power another. For instance, flue gas, or combustion exhaust, from the coal-fired generators would be fed into the algae reactor, which would produce the algae oil that would power the biodiesel plant.

Manure, animal fat, paunch and wastewater from area feedlots, packing plants and dairies also would figure heavy in the mix. Fat, more properly known as tallow, would help run the biodiesel plant, while wastewater and manure would be fed into the anaerobic digester, which would generate the methane that would help run the ethanol plant.

Last night in the Glob there was a notice of date change on this. It said that the meeting was changed to September 25, 2006 at 7:00 PM in the Rose room.

Is this just so they can get more of their "ducks in a row" or to confuse us enough so that there will not be as many people there or that maybe we will forget about it!!!

Sounds like some poster board on light poles is in order!!! If they really wanted the public there they could run some PSA's on the radios and they could run it in the community events section for free. I think you are right Sig - sounds like the shell game is upon ya'll

I think that it is mainly to lose some of the public attention on this matter. As a secondary thought, it might have been to give them a little more time to get their ducks in a row. After all, this is the 2nd time they have postponed it.
