RIP Joe Williamson
I read in today's obits that Joe Williamson recently passed away.

For those who didn't get to know him, he was a rascal with a propensity to want to help others and spent most of his career working with our "Ford County Emergency" operation; helping it grow from meat wagons owned by funeral homes into what's really the finest 'golden hour' health care service in the world.

Joe should be given a spot in Ford County's modern history.

RIP my Friend; and I'm glad your Earthly troubles are now over.

Oh, wow. I'm sorry to hear that. He was my older sister's age - in her class in high school. Was the class clown, I think. Talented guy. I'm sure EMS will miss him. RIP, Joe!

Joe Willie was a helluva guy and did alot for this City and County. Many people owe their lives to the man. I always said that if I ever needed help, "Lord, let Joe Willie show up"! Rest in Peace!

I couldn't have said it better myself.

I heard the funeral home was standing room only for his service with dozens of people who couldn't fit into the church standing in the front room. I hope he knew how much he was appreciated. We should tell our EMTs, firefighters and cops how much we appreciate them while we can.
