| This thread about air ambulance services has certainly stirred up a lot of comments about WPMC. I have had some experiences over the past years that has caused to me change the "let buyer beware" to "let patient beware". What really bothers me is that I had to become an active participant in my loved ones health care to the point of having to go from a medical layman position to one of a somewhat knowledgeable medical person just to protect my loved one. I just feel that I am not trained in medicine and they are, so why can't they do their job without me having to police their every move. I'll just stop at that. You really don't want to get me started on that subject.
I have had experience recently with hospitals in Dodge City, Garden City, Topeka, Kansas City and Wichita. I do appreciate those of you in the medical field have added to this thread and the quality assurance that you try to achieve. Keep it up. I will end by saying that a really bad experience at WPRH a few years ago, that was not handled to my satisfaction(it had to do with care and not billing) has caused me to vow not to use the facility again. I really do hope that the excellent health care that I received many years ago at WPMC is back.
Sincerely,
The Duke |
