Not to deviate from tee and wordy's comments, but we're visiting Topeka this week and we just got gas for 2.14 a gallon *if you pay cash* ...2.17 otherwise. That's a smidge less than what we paid in Dodge before leaving, I think it was 2.49.

Dodge seems like they are always the first one to raise the prices and the last one to lower them. It's INCREDIBLE that there can be a 25 -30 cents difference between here and Wichita.

Location, location, location, Costs more to fly into dodge than wichita, more to fly to wichita than to topeka. The closer you are to supply doesn't set the price. Most the refining in california stays in claifornia - look at thier prices..... you got it good! We got the refineries and we are sittin at 2.28 to 2.49

Ifin it makes any of y'all feel any better it's still in the $2.60 range in the Michigan Upper Pennisula. Assuming it really is gasoline.

I say that because what a BP station in Iron River MI sold me as 93 octane had enough water and gunk in it to make my car go from 85 to dead in less time than it takes for a junkie to say yes to free crack.
