They make a BUTT LOAD of money making the drugs to fight the symptoms.

So right you are. They are selling us drugs to make us better only to find what made us better only caused something else, but don't worry they'll get right to work and come up with a drug to make that better too. Sometimes I think the side effects from the drug is worse then the original ailment.

I just think - this guy is a payment lookin for a supplier. First he only has HIV - not Aids - He is no cure if he's "unwilling" to go get tested again unless the "price is right". There were lots of false + in the 1980's and 1990"s but now the test is pretty standardized. I think the guy doesn't want to go back cause he is a scammer.

Drug companies do pay blood donors $ IF they have the right antibodies and antigens. Hence the real meaning of the term "Rare" blood donor. I have seen donors get as much as $400 - $1500 for one unit of blood.

I think this cat is just lookin for a paycheck....... "I thought I was lookin death in the face".......my ass........ I think he and someone he knows "tubed up" some HIV + blood and then he offered himself knowing he was HIV - . It's been tried before - the fact that he is "not sure" he wants to be a part of all this.....tells me he's a player. Besided that he's from England - geesh have ya read their tabloids they call news??? Have ya listened to them in the House of Parliment????? How serious can this story be?? I think not very serious.

On a different note - I did hear on a news report from a reputable station that they found that the sweat glands in a frog found only in Australia was found to stop the spread of Aids - (not HIV but AIDS). I heard 2 weeks ago then never heard anything else. They were talking about marketing it in a creme. Did anyone else hear this???

Now tell me if I am wrong, but if he has a cure and he doesn't reveal it...then couldn't he get charged with peoples deaths in the future if they die since he could have prevented their deaths?

Pootsy - did ya ever hear of them chargin the tobacco companies with death? Naw - they were just sued for witholding info. This cat isn't with holding anything. He's just lookin for his 15 min of fame. All his terminology is wrong to begin with. He is a "Nessie of Loch Ness" Lots of folks wanna believe but there is no evidence. He's still a scammer and if anything he outta be sued for that - but ya can't sue someone just cause they are an ass.

PS - IF he proves to be acurate (since I'm a nurse I will admit cures do often come from places and theroys we least expect) I will retract with joy every nasty thing I have said about him.

I think some people seem not to understand what is going on here. This guy doesn't actually have a cure for AIDS. Not in the sense that he's written a formula for a chemical that makes it go away or he's found some exotic food that makes it go away when you eat it.

It's more along the lines that his body's immune system has had some sort of strange mutation where it's created an antibody that fights the disease and wins.

If he would submit to tests and it turns out to be real then it's possible that antibody could be reproduced in a lab.

Well Wordy - I was lettin all that go - since you seem to be someone that understands anitbody and antigen - then you certainly understand HIV+ is not - I repeat NOT the same as having AIDS. Ya can be HIV+ for 20 years and never convert to AIDS. As long as those little T cells are workin and above a certain count you are still in HIV land. Course if you could reverse HIV now THAT would be a miracle. I still say the dude is a scammer. That's why he's not knockin down the doors to be a research subject. He may feel that if he really produced antibodies to kill his "supposedly" HIV + status that his body won't produce any more of those antibodies if they take just ONE tube of blood from him to prove his claim.......he's a scammer and someone in the lab was helpin him.....
