| Dog Bounty Hunter http://msnbc.msn.com/id/14839076/ Duane "Dog" Chapman, his son leland and his brother (i believe) Timothy were arrested in Honolulu for going down into mexico and capturing a wanted rapist. "The three are being held in Honolulu. Bail has not been set. They will face an extradition hearing to Mexico under terms of treaties between the U.S. and Mexico, Credic said." Why didn't the mexican authorities do their job on extraditing our criminal back to the U.S.? Personally I don't see the problem in what Dog has done. Mexico has been a free loader on the terms of this treaty that we have with them. It's about time we start helping mexico as much as they help us. Quid Pro Quo America, Quid Pro Quo.

| He didn't show up for court in Mexico to face the original kidnapping charges that Mexico filed when he nabbed the Max Factor heir. Course he of ALL folks should know that ya have to show up for court. Like he says - ya can run but ya can't hide! He shoulda taken care of this long ago. I hope he gets outta this as I don't think Mexico was real concerned about the US gettin a felon hiding there. My view is tho - no matter who ya are - you are subject to the same rules as everyone else. No matter what Mexico does or doesn't do - he too has to be law abiding. Hope he finds a loop hole tho!!

| The warrant was going to expire in 28 days or so.... Tex, those were BS charges and that's why he didn't go down for court. He wasn't exactly hiding either. i dont see why the American gov't should give up a guy for doing the right thing. Mexico sure as hell wasn't lookin for an American fugitive. A rapist at that. Dog went down there and did the job Mexico wasn't gonna do. so why should America help mexico out? Don't seem right to me. Protect our citizens first. Did Dog do anything wrong? If capturing a sick man is an act of wrong doing then yes. Lock up dog and throw away the key.

| Hey - don't get me wrong - I love Dog, Beth and all the crew. I'm just sayin if he was wrong, then he was wrong. Just cause you were doin the moral thing don't make ya right in the eyes of the law. You have to follow the law of the country - no matter who ya are. If they were BS charges they wouldn't be wantin him now, he would have bail, and all this would be laughable. In time, after all the federales have been paid off, it will still be laughable. Ya do have to face the music tho - no matter what the dance is they are playin.

| Even though it may be required doesn't mean its right. Rosa Parks should have gotten up outta her seat but didnt. Harriet Tubman shouldn't have led slaves from the south and whites shouldn't have housed them. Early Americans should have paid the stamp tax and adhered to English law. But they didn't AND what they did was the right thing to do.

| I don't think those folks and Dog got a lot in common. Dog gets good money for his decisions to go against the flow..........

| I'm not closed minded at all - I just they(Parks etc...) feel were fighting for an ideal - Dog was doin a job, gettin paid, he knew the law, he knew he might get in trouble, he got in trouble, and then decided not to respect the law that he cherishes so much. It's not about him being right or wrong, he just doesn't deserve a pass. He needs to face the charges, get a slick attorney, pay off the federales, and go about his business of gettin the bad guy. I really admire him, I don't think he's runnin from the charges, I think he just decided to wait till they came toget him, hopin that maybe they wouldn't cause it is all so stupid to begin with. I just don't see given him a pass and I don't see him askin for one. The Dog - wouldn't ask for a pass anyhow. I think next time he'll pay the mexican govt off first then go do his business. But I do luv the dog!!
