while the similarities are noted, The operative fact is Gore WAS culpable in a similar vein as is this example from Kansas. As part of an overall appearance of arrogance Gore managed to blow what should have been a winnable election with help from a third party candidate made possible by the afforementioned arrogance. Therefore Gore was eventually held accountable for "no controlling legal authority"
Either the otherside serves to a higher standard as some would imply or they too choose to adopt the arrogant self serving behavior. It would appear in this case the latter has occurred and comparisons to a certain Democrat as a means for excusing the behavior is inappropriate at best and somewhat hypocritical. The article, at least what I read of it, does not state if the campaign paid the state for the names and/if the names are available to the opposition for a fee or some level of hoop hopping.
One can disagree, agree, or don't care about the behavior but to justify it on past.........sorry can't see it.
