| Too bad a lot of people have "forgot" about 9/11 and what happened. They take freedom for granted. They tie the hands of those that want to protect you. They make it hard, almost impossible...

| The truth is...in my opinion right now with elections and with the Demokrats hawking the failures in Iraq instead of the successes, we (the U.S.) couldn't do a pre-emptive strike if we wanted to. The Demokrats would spin it negatively regardless...so we have to go through the U.N. who has proven to be crippled in every aspect except being crooked. This is an unfortunate situation for the U.S.

That you and an ever dwindling few others blindly and lock stock and barrell stand behind an administration that on 9/12/01 had pretty much the full following and support of not only this country but most of the civilized world united with a single goal of capturing and punishing those who caused the attacks. That goodwill and support was eroded by a single minded determination to find an excuse to invade a sovereign nation under the quise of WMD while Korea openly flauted their weapons program and the third axis of evil could not come clean why they need nuclear power when they sit on top of one of the world's biggest oil fields. A nation btw that we had hemmed in and had bombed every year since the 1991 cease fire. And once there was no WMD, then there became a series of reasons while the war was a good thing. A nation that once we had defeated, quickly became de-stabilized because the appropriate resources were not allocated and apparently political favor rather than infrastructure competence was the deciding factor behind who was put in charge. Iraq has become destabilize to the point that more Americans have died trying to stablize it than died conquering it. All the while leaving the troops and government of Afghansitan to become a 2nd class "war" if you will. The people responsible for 9/11 continue to shoot this country the finger and threaten us while some would have us believe the "successes of the Iraq war." Success all right. The only success that appears to be coming out of this is that even the solid republican and conservative Americans are beginning to do the math and see that the stories told by this administration are not adding up. From December 8th 1941 to the first of August 1945 we managed to defeat Germany, Italy, and Japan. This thing is on it's third year and we've not been able to stabilize just one country. And if you look around, Afghanistan is teetering again. The Taliban is back and they're pissed. The American people by and large are not stupid. The day we stiffle debate and the ability to disagree is the day we become another totalitarian state. |

| FWIW OoD, I believe it was long overdue to clean house in Iraq and Klinton did us no favors in Korea.

| The main problem as I see it is - everyone is lookin backward to see who did what - rather than looking forward to see how it can be fixed or at least put into a safe perspective for all of US. Quit bitchin and start fixin! The fix includes everyone not just one party. Ya gotta use those in power now - can't create your own leaders till election time - and if ya lose then ya gotta try with what ya got and make it work. I wanna see results based on that - not some "in your dreams" results that everyone says would, could, or should be. I'm tired of the monday mornin quarter backin. I wanna see something! It sounds as if they aren't even sure it was nuclear............. now there's gonna be a fight over who knew that first and why didn't they make thier statements sooner.................geeeeeesh!!!
