| U.S. Population hits 300 million mark Fromt he Dodgeboard NEWS section... The nation's population officially hit 300 million at 7:46 a.m. EDT Tuesday, when the Census Bureau's population clock rolled over to the big number. In other news... U.S Polpulation growth steady among legal citizens, increase in population due to immigration. Naturalized citizens in the U.S have on average 2.2 children per couple. Islamic population has doubled since 1976, they have on average 4.6 children per couple. In 1976 western population was double that of islamic population. Today, Islamic population is higher.

| I wonder if there were any flashing lights, sirens or music when they jumped over the fence? Woulda been nice to have Hillary there with news cameras granting a free greencard to the 300 millionth citizen.

| There was a guy(reproter) that actually crossed over on an elephant greeted by a hired mariachi band. No joke - No border patrol in sight. Course he crossed over onto a private ranch.......... but it made a good story for CNN.........
