I just watched a special on CNN - Borken Government..... it talks about how the democrats have had power 12 of the last 40 years..... how the democrats runnin now are having doubts about bein seen as the "God is dead 60 generation, the liberals, the ones with no solid moral foundation" Basically how the democratic candidates are having trouble identifying with the democrats..... they can't cause truth is there isn't enough democrats to elect a democrat unless they can gain the vote of the middle, independent Kinky feel good types like me......... much as I hate to say it...... what this Kinky feel good type thinks and how this Kinky feel good type votes can and will determine if your democrat makes it or not. There aren't enough democrats in the nation to carry an electon alone....... For now altho....... if Kinky were runnin for Pres...... that might just be where my vote went. I support my jewish cowboy!!...... Kinky or not........ least he keeps his pants up admits he's had a toke here and there and isn't afraid to take care of Texas........ All we have had is democrats and republicans....... mainly republicians........ Kinky's lookin mighty fine to me....... So truth is there is more than 2 parties!! If you don't think so ask your demcratic stratigist next time ya go to a meeting!

I could care less about who anybody votes for on Nov. 7th. It wouldn't have bothered me a bit if that was left out of that video. The point I was making, was covered in the first 30 seconds of the 39 second video. He said it has never been "stay the course" and they show no fewer than 12 different speeches where he say's that we will "stay the course."

I also, served my country and I have said countless times that there should be no political parties. For anybody to tell me that I am less of a patriot or an american because I think that the current president is a liar, a cheat, and a no good son of a bitch because he makes decisions that will help all the rich folks and oil business buddies that know his family can

Stay the Course to me means .... we are not cuttin and runnin - we are stayin till it's done... his "stay the course" has been so spun it's begnin to look like a spool of thread. He can't help it if the stratigists take every little word he says or "discovers" ( in GW's case) It's ridiculous to think that one human is gonna be flawless....... it's easier to cry foul..... I haven't seen anything from the other side that has sounded remotely like a plan. My thought is - you may love him, like him, or hate him....... but during this time in our world the very least you can do is not trash him while he's in office. We look like fools as it is in so many arenas........ it's not "his" fault..... it's the politicians in general......... he's not to blame for that. He's as much as the problem as the rest of em. Sweep house and vote based on the issues not the party! Respect is due altho to a sitting president. I showed respect for the ones I didn't like and the same respect for the ones I did. Showing a little respect is not alot to ask for. We as Americans just do that. Does that mean your less patriotic??? Nope..... never said it did. I just think that all I hear is negative things......... I just think certainly there is sumthin goin right.... somewhere. I'm not ready to support impeachment hearings so alls not lost yet. He's not in front of a congressional committee is he?? Hell maybe he was but he's still a sitting leader of a free democracy and was leagally voted in....... unless you ask my sister the staunchest democrat I know. Hell we don't even discuss politics..... some things are best left in your head when it comes to politics with her. Ya'll ain't got nuthin on how loyal my sister is to the democrats!

For a girl that don’t pay attention to politics you hit the nail on the head. That’s it exactly! His words have been spun until they don’t mean what he meant when he said them. So he had to change the words to fit the meaning that was wrongly applied to them.

Nothing has changed with policy. The goal is the same but the tactics change from day to day as required like they always have. The left wing spin machine turned “staying the course” on the mission goal into not adapting tactics as the need changes. It was just another lie by the Bush haters.

Interesting spin you try to give it there Highway.

the POINT is that W would lie to you if the truth was better and you'd smile giddily and defend it.

Instead of saying - Stay the Course has taken on a new meaning that we never intended it to have so we've changed the wording to something more descriptive of our policy.

He said - I've never said that. Which is a lie.

All poliTICS aside I must agree with Highway. I had always taken Bush's Stay the course to mean we will not back down from our goal to secure Iraq. The quote got spun by democrats to mean everything from continuing to get American soldiers killed in Iraq, to continuing to ignore problems in other areas.

I think it was a good move on Bush's part.

From a communication standpoint when someone takes control of your message away from you and you can't regain that control it's a good idea to change the message to something you can control.

I'm not denying that nor trying to debate it. My point is he simply said, after more than 2 years of saying it, I never said that.

If you take Highway's point of view that it was a simple mistake then I submit that as yet more proof that hes' an idiot. To say the same tagline for years and expect the world to just forget it as readily as you have is lunacy.

Bush is too much of an idiot to waste and emotion as powerful as hate. I pity him at best.

And yes it does make me happy when something so irrefutably true that demonstrates a point I'm making drops into my lap like this.

You just showed your true colors.... and they aren't ones the middle of the road folks wanna cplor with. That's why your party doesn't represent enough folks to get your puppet elected. Ya'll got the country in the palm of your hands if ya want it and I would venture to say that the folks in high power on your side of the fence would spank your butt if they knew this is how you portray what and who they are......... hell Wordie even you don't represent the true Democratic, liberal, help those that can't help themeselves attitude. It's hateful and it won't put your boy in the house. The democrats I can see ain't payin ya for your campaign ability. You have mentioned nothing about acceptance, the possibility that both are right and you just see it different, you aren't a very good representative of any side I wanna be on!

Your party isn't about right and wrong... it's about power....... - the idiots you refer too have been keepin you employed and safe for the majority of time........ typical to think and say you coulda done better....... coulds, shoulda, woulda,............. all of little importance to me....... I'm surprised you are so reverent of Clinton since he taught us all how to lie to a camera!..... Insults and hatred don't get ya anywhere.

Persoannlly I felt like his sex life (or his bad behavior due to lack of it) was his business......... I felt the Oval Office and an intern was in bad taste.and felt he was shameful for using his power to get laid.......... but hey I been on a table or two and been mesmerized by a doctor ot two ....... but the lying just pissed me off. I did altho "stay the course" and show respect for him and defended his office - wasn't happy bout how he handeled himself but supported him just the same.
