And this is why our political process is so screwed up. Democrats and Republicans have lost sight of their purpose to serve us. Instead both parties are so wound up competing against the other instead of competing against our foes in a united fashion, that they have forgotten to serve their American constituents. The Dems are gleeful when something happens that make the president or republicans look bad. Likewise the republicans loved to make Clinton look bad. This happens even at the expense of our country or soldiers abroad.

Last night, I got a call from the GOP asking for money to further their campaign. I went off! I told the woman that I would support the republican party at the polls, but that I wouldn't be sending them any money this year as they would simply spend it on negative ad campaigns, investigations and tactics to smear the other party. It seems that getting elected, or re-elected is top priority, even higher than solving the grave problems that face us all. Both parties stoop to some pretty underhanded campaigns to smear and destroy the other.

Both parties are at fault. President Bush and the rep party have still not signed/passed the bill to build the fence, and they've done very little to address the illegal immigration issue, which I feel ranks as high as the war in Iraq or terrorism.

Our whole political process as it pertains to the partisanship model needs an overhaul. We need a couple more parties in the race and we need to get rid of lobbying and although both parties promise to do something about lobbying in each political race, nothing ever really gets done. McCain-Feingold is a failure. The problem is still there.

Either way we lose. If the Dems get power in November, you can bet their efforts will be focused on investigations, impeachment, and smear campaigns to get even with the republicans. If the republicans hold power, then it will be politics as usual- as it has been for the past 6 years.

It's really a sad time for America's two-party system. If either party put as much effort into fixing our problems here in America as they do trying to destroy each other, we would be one hell of a nation!

I tried to add to your rep but it wouldn't let me....

I am so sick of hearing the word....."POWER"..... being thrown around by both parties...we need to get POWER.....we need to keep POWER
ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.....
Politics have never made sense to me.... we are supposed to be the UNITED...states of AMERICA.....whatever happened to UfreakingNITED....

I think we got so damn big-headed during " DESERT STORM"... so damn proud... and superior.. as a nation.... (we certainly needed a shot of confidence) and at that time this country was UNITED....We thought we could whip anyone in the middle east....after seeing the Iraqi soldiers ...falling to their knees and bowing down to our troops...and praising them...Jeeze ...that was an uplifting sight...

The Elder President Bush and his advisers were responsible for that VICTORY... because someone had studied their history lessons...
We went in and really had a MISSION ACCOMPLISHED....we kicked Iraq out of Kuwait...

alot of us ...me included... thought we should have gone on and finished it...
Well ...I was wrong...President Bush was right....I think he lost the second term because of it...I dont know if that was a factor or not... doesn't matter now.. its all past and here we are...

Our nation .... is so in trouble on our own shores... that I personally feel like whatsherface in EXORSIST.... my head is spinning and I feel like Im gonna PUKE...
The negative ad's are starting and they are slamming a fellow American... its so disgraceful its behond words.....anyway...time for my meds again....
S**T.......... S**T........S**T.......arggggggggggggggggggggggggg ggg
