| Bush distancing himself from... Well whoever the hell it was that said "Stay the Course" Oh yeah, it was him! Think Progress » Bush: ‘We’ve Never Been Stay The Course’ During an interview today on ABC’s This Week, President Bush tried to distance himself from what has been his core strategy in Iraq for the last three years. George Stephanopoulos asked about James Baker’s plan to develop a strategy for Iraq that is “between ’stay the course’ and ‘cut and run.’” Bush responded, ‘We’ve never been stay the course, George!’ Watch it: Bush is wrong: BUSH: We will stay the course. [8/30/06] BUSH: We will stay the course, we will complete the job in Iraq. [8/4/05] BUSH: We will stay the course until the job is done, Steve. And the temptation is to try to get the President or somebody to put a timetable on the definition of getting the job done. We’re just going to stay the course. [12/15/03] BUSH: And my message today to those in Iraq is: We’ll stay the course. [4/13/04] BUSH: And that’s why we’re going to stay the course in Iraq. And that’s why when we say something in Iraq, we’re going to do it. [4/16/04] BUSH: And so we’ve got tough action in Iraq. But we will stay the course. | It's "In the News" because he said it on a news program. The blog it's on did a good job of finding instances where W said the opposite.

| Interesting how you waited for someone else to give you your opinion. Any time someone catches W in a lie with proof it makes me happy that is true. However it didn't fuel my anger at all. I only get angry when W is getting away with his lies and misdirection.

I kindly submit that I didn't opinionize Bob's eloquent reply; but let it stand on its own. Additionally, lookup "gaffe" A gaffe is a mistake said by an individual, usually in a social environment. They commonly result in embarrassment.. and then review your last paragraph.

Maybe someone should explain to W how people use the "Internets" to catch him when he says, I never said that.

| I'm never surprised when words fly over your head but I'm mildly disappointed when they scream over your heels. "That's an interesting take you took on my takings from the link that you took" acknowledges that your original post was another's opinion and not yours. Yet, you implied that my posting another's reply was somehow waiting for the 'other' to hand me my opinion. It is my opinion but Bob's reply to that blog imparted wisdom at (and from) the source. That alone imparts my reason to copy it here; without further comment. Often times I've thought you are a conservative throwing liberal stupidities onto the board for fun and jolly's...... mostly because of a total lack of supporting said stupidities. Wordy, either way is OK a'cuz you're much more polite than the veg-head.
