What do you think? CNN aired video of Soldier getting taken out by a Sniper.

I would like to know what everyone else thinks of this. I'm pretty opinionated and a bit biased towards CNN (a subsiderary of the Al Jazeera Network) on this issue. I used to flip over during major stories to get the left coast spin on a newstory from CNN but now I won't even do that. I'm done with this network.

It's legitimate news but it's not how I would have handled it. I'd maybe show parts of the the video with the sniper team talking and setting up to show how they are working with impunity against our soldiers but I'd have cut the video before the shot and definately not come back to it.

I wouldn’t show any of it. I would have reported it with a brief verbal description and denounced it as propaganda for the enemy. Even getting part of it aired is an encouragement to make more footage and they shoot our folks to do that.

Poor choice by CNN. If viewers didn't want to see it they wouldn't be showing it. Just shows how sick or society is.

I believe the coverage of VN raised the same question and concerns........ we saw what the news media can do as far as helping an enemy and swaying a nation. They call it clear honest reporting, I call it irreverent to the soldier and his family.

I dont freaking want to know about anything that will give any kind of info to the enemy...the NEWS MEDIA have taken their FREEDOM OF THE PRESS tooooooooooo damn far.....I know its one of the things that separates us from the rest of the world....but the way it has been manipulated lately is tantamont to TREASON

I agree. We all knew there would be a cost to going to war, yet 85% of Americans supported the war went we went in after 911.

We don't need to see videos that show the death of one of our soldiers in action. This only serves to galvanize the liberal left, perpetuate the will of our enemy, and has no news-value. Not to mention that it is disrespectful to the family.

The other day, there was a news story on CNN where a bunji-jumper jumped off a bridge and the cable broke, sending him to his death. CNN refused to show the footage, which was the right thing to do. Now, why do you think they would show footage of a soldier getting killed? Answer: the political agenda of a left wing news source.
