Well I think it's great that he finally offered up what most Americans felt he should have already offered... Amazing how "stupid" all that intellegence makes a politician. How come we as American's don't need to meet with stratigists to determine if it's the right thing or not?............. They all make me sick right now.......... both sides of the isle........

I’ll bet he was for it before he was against it.
I'll bet he spent all night thinking of what I'm sure he thought was a Witty remark. In the typical politicians mindset he was thinking only of how it would be taken by the other party and not about anyone else.

He shudda been thinkin' how his own party was gunna take it:

Quote:
A top Democratic strategist said Tuesday that Kerry "already cost us one election" and should "keep his mouth shut." Added Senate candidate Harold Ford Jr. of Tennessee on Wednesday, "Whatever the intent, Sen. Kerry was wrong to say what he said. He needs to apologize to our troops."

Democratic candidate Jon Tester, who is in a tight race against Sen. Conrad Burns, R-Montana, said in a statement, "Sen. Kerry's remarks were poorly worded and just plain stupid. He owes our troops and their families an apology."
And how they were gunna handle it:

Quote:
A Kerry aide said the senator wouldn't go to Minnesota for Democrat Tim Walz, who is trying to unseat Rep. Gil Gutknecht, R-Minnesota, and congressional candidate Bruce Braley of Iowa announced that Kerry would not appear with him either.
All quotes from wordy's link.... Thanks Bud.

Wow, talk about taking responsibility for your actions. That john kerry sure is a man's man!.....

Notice how he blames everyone else for not reading his mind. He refuses to admit that he screwed up. It sure sounds real sincere. And just posted on his website instead of a personal comment at a news conference. Next thing you know we’ll hear how Karl Rove masterminded the whole thing and tricked him into saying what he said. What a piece of work.

For a guy who likes the throw the "liar" word around you sure like to spin things. You KNOW the armed forces don't represent a cross section of America. Targeting a cross section and getting a cross section is two different things.

And you know what? That's probably a good thing.

I've been pondering skerry's comments about how he misread the script... "They" say he left out some words....

Can you say "Freudian" slip? He just might have more respect for President Bush than he has for our Military Service Members.....

I think all you good righties should feel a little concerned by this more than anyone else. If the GOP has to grab this and run with it to deflect attentionf or actual issues they really don't have much of substance to run on.

Check out the Daily Show's take on it where they show some of your big guns making inapropriate and tasteless jokes.

Last night's episode is on the Comedy Central website and it's the first thing they talk about.

Comedy Central: Home - Source for comedians, funny videos, TV shows, movies, games, jokes, ringtones and more

Watch it, laugh at it, think about it and then get back to the issues.

That's what righties AND lefties do to protect thier interest in having a job where they can screw up, get a pension that 4 retires could live on in comfort, having the best health care the backs of US citizens can give them and all the while having a captive audience that thinks they are doing a fine job. Wake up!!........... Kerry is apologetic cause he has to be.......... He's said he's sorry....... wether he is or not isn't the issue.......... hell both sides are so good at hidin the issues cause they just want your vote........ not your opinions............ The fat cats don't care what any of ya'll think.......TERM LIMITS.......... that would take care of the horse and pony show you are watchin now.
