Precinct hasn't tamed 'Dodge City'
Violent crimes rising despite more police patrols

Nobody seems to know when or how Nashville's Cumberland View public housing development earned the disreputable nickname "Dodge City."

For decades, at least since the mid-1970s, the name has evoked the crackling gunfire that could be heard through the streets, like a Wild West showdown straight from TV's "Gunsmoke."

I loved this next statement cuz it's a great reality on the state of the welfare state (or nation):

"We can keep crime (and) drugs out of every area, but in public housing we can't seem to do it," Isabel said.
