Wal Mart's new marketing campaign

It won't be 'happy holidays' this year; it will be 'Merry Christmas'

BENTONVILLE, Ark. - It is beginning to look a lot more like Christmas at Wal-Mart.

This holiday season, Wal-Mart isn’t trumpeting big bargains only. It’s also bringing “Christmas” back into its marketing, after several years of playing down the term.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc.’s Christmas cheer seems to be a hot trend this season as several other retailers including Kohl’s Corp. and Macy’s, a division of Federated Department Stores Inc., are also stepping up their Christmas marketing. The moves respond to mounting criticism from religious groups that staged boycotts against Wal-Mart and other merchants after they eliminated or de-emphasized “Christmas” in their advertising.

Well, for Christ's sake, that's a good idea.

Christmas is just a "theory" that "evolved" from the credit card companies!

I think this is good news but!

I've heard that we should expect more HAPPY media news now. Some people believe, since the change in powers, that the media will now start reporting "happy news" as apposed to all the sad news to make things look like they are going better now.

I'm beginning to think this change in power could turn out to be a good thing after all. I think America sent the message we're tired of both the extreme left and right, although I believe America prefers the extreme right over the left thats why the republicans have been in power, and the Democrats were the only ones to act on Americas cry.

By putting their(dems) middle runners in the game they beat out the extreme right. I think Wal*Mart's move could well be a sign of the times. A time when being politically correct is less important than family beliefs. Wal*Mart didn't get to where they are by making stupid marketing moves. They got where they are by being the first to act on what America wants.

I remain skeptical though because this could be nothing more than the left doing the Hokey Pokey. You put your Right foot in and shake it all about to entice voters then you put your left foot in and screw things up again.

Most of the media favor the left and for them Christmas came early this year. Perhaps there is even a renewed believe in Santa.

Have you noticed the lack of recounts and complaints of election fraud even though there are many more questionable voting machines in service and process problems this year?

Wal Mart

I don't know about the rest of the world but I bought no cards that did not say Merry Christmas. I continued to use the phrase Christmas Holiday. A handful of people will not change my way of thinking nor will they take Christ out of my Christmas.
