| Dallas takes a stand on illegal immigration Anyone see this on the news? I'm having a tough time finding it on the Internet. Seems Dallas is trying to pass a bill that will allow local police to check legal status as well as requiring employers to check legal status before hiring.

| The first thing that jumps out at me in the story is the use of the term “anti-immigration” instead of “anti-illegal-immigration”.

 It's actually Farmer's Branch, TX, a Dallas suburb.

| If ya wanna know how folks that visited this site feel about it - check out the poll in the story. Awhopping 82% would support such an ordinance in Houston.

| The "Mayor" I would pay the way for the Mayor to go to the Texas town and copy this ordinance for Dodge City. |
