Gee sounds like a bad day at work Pootsy - the thing about business is You are only as good as the last thing you did - meaning you don't get to keep a "tab" goin of past good things to excuse away any dumb thing ya do. Mistakes are a given - bad judgement is not. I'm sure the cop still has his job and I'm sure there is an attorney somewhere over there drawin up the complaint........ That's just the way the world and work force is. Sorry we bummed ya out.

Police, because of their station in life, are held to a higher standard of responsibility.

Public people know what they are getting into and have n place to complain when they get flak for a public mistake.

At work mistakes cost money and morale.

And in this situation since nobody got hurt... It's fun to poke a stick at it.

Oh Tex ya didn't bum me out, I just feel bad for the cop that screwed up. Here he was trying to teach these kids something and in turn he really messed up. You know he probably takes pride in what he does and it just stinks to no end to mess up like that, believe me I know what its like to mess up in something you take pride in doing. It is almost like nobody lets you live it down when your trying to better yourself and so on. IT JUST PLAIN ASS SUCKS!!!!

There’s an old saying that one “Ah shit!” wipes out a thousand “that-a-boys.”

This ain’t as bad as the one I read about years ago where an officer removed the clip from her gun and passed it around the class for the students to handle. Good thing none of the kids pulled the trigger because the one in the chamber was still there. I’m a little intolerant of that kind of mistake.

Girl I feel sorry for any cop that screws up - I also know they do - not on purpose now- cause I know my son and DIL are the "perfect" cops - but listening to them and knowing them I know they do screw up. I honestly don't think they would screw up THAT bad but then again I'm sure that cop didn't run home and tell his mom what he did either.......... I'm VERY cop friendly - just was a STUPID mistake - cop or not.......now maybe we can find someone else to "trash out"....... gee I can't wait....LOL
