Consider that in addition to the fine there is lost revenue from suspending the license. Depending on sales volume the total damage to the bottom line could be much higher than just the fine.

I understand that part. Walmart will probably lose more than the others combined because of volume. But these places have already been caught contributing to minors once.....Wonder what would happen if they served up some minor that was in an accident or killed someone? If the laws were a bit stiffer then they would take it a little more serious.

I feel they are too harsh. I think it is nothing more than the store clerk selling it to minors and not the store policy. You should go after the clerk that made the sale, not the business.

Don't they go after both?? If I remember right, they charge the clerk and the business.
