| NYC rights group criticizes Saddam trial NYC rights group criticizes Saddam trial - Yahoo! News I always enjoy reading reports like this on how the justice system is unfair, especially when they run to the aid of a person like Saddam. I remember the day Saddam was captured. On one news channel, a soldier that removed the cover to Saddam's underground hideout almost pulled the pin from a grenade to drop it down the hole when Saddam told him to stop. If only the grenade would have dropped..... Imagine the circus if a person like Bin Laden was captured.     |

| If they ever get binladen they will have a mess on their hands. If the kill him he's a martyr. If we try him and execute him, he's a martyr. The only solution I can see would be to offer him up for prosecution in EVERY other country where he has charges pending. Let them try him and bring his crimes out for all to see. When he's been tried let them sentence him and then take him to the next venue. The US should be the last to try him and then sentence should be carried out. Of course the stipulation would be that his security would never be left to anyone but the US military.

Who cares if he's a martyr? If they don't kill him fast there will be hundreds, if not thousands of people die in terrorist attacks by his followers trying to gain/force his freedom. There may still be revenge attacks after the fact, but that's going to happen whether he's jailed or put to death.
