Protest slated for wreck victims' funerals

I've said it's a First Amendment issue in the past but this cult needs to GO.

WAFF 48 News has learned and confirmed that members of the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kan., are planning to demonstrate at the funeral of the I-565 bus wreck victims Nicole Ford and Christine Collier.

The group often holds protests at the funerals of soldiers killed in Iraq.

The church runs an anti-homosexuality web site.

We spoke with a member of the church and verified their plans and the Huntsville Police Department has received a permit request from the group.

I don't remember who it was that was pointing out their right to hold the protests at service member's funerals....but I definitely agree with ya, Wordie - it's happening way too often. How do these people get the money to travel? Somebody believes in them and their mission. I think it's disgusting. Nowhere but America.....
