The Wii-mote accidents...

Have you guys heard this crazy stuff?? I guess people are gettin a little too crazy with the Wii. Some people have broken their televisions, fan lights, and nearby windows...while also managing to hurt nearby friends, dogs, etc. hahahah!! Some sources say that it is because of sweaty hands or weakened arms...Way to go Moderation!!!! These kids need a little something more to do in life! Check out a few photos here:

I also watched a lil bit about it on Entertainment Television, and they said that there is a safety harness attached to the remote but apparently some are refusing to use it....obviously lol!

It's not that, the wrist strap hooks to a very small string that hooks to the remote. (You can see the broken string in pic 1 of your pics you linked to.) The small string breaks and the remote can slip out of your hand, especially on the bowling game, since you sling the ball down the lane (sling the remote toward the TV screen.) My niece had her remote slip out of her hand and it bounced off the TV, luckily it didn't break the screen.
