| Hey, on the bright side, maybe that one will end up on Leno. Now that would be FUNNY! |

| I read through a Sunday edition of the New York Times for a college project once and was surprised by the number of errors I caught — and they have many, many, many more editorial employees than the Globe! Just goes to show that even the big boys screw up occasionally. No newspaper is 100 percent error free. And remember this: Typos and factual errors are certainly embarrassing, but fabricated stories are even worse. (Just ask Jayson Blair or Janet Cooke.) |

| Hey ya'll do a good job to me........... I bet there are lots of mistakes in large city papers..... just takes longer to find them. Ya'll are doin fine - ya know the problems and ya do the best ya can - I'm more interested in askin why the Globe doesn't have a senior citizens rate? I asked that 7 years ago too. It was a managemnet decision that they never offered a discount - that's what I was told. Just thought that was kinda shabby but - oh well............ I must say that when I took the paper they threw it where I wanted it and have alsways accomodated my sisters on where the paper is thrown... that's personal service to me - try gettin that outta the Houston Post........... fat chance!

| Eric, One change I would like to see in the paper... Mrs. Pineros peice... It's the same old rant. I'd like to see it go away. For me, it's a waste of good space. I wonder if anyone even reads it anymore. Is this an attempt to get more hispanic readers? Does the Globe do any polling to see what their readers enjoy and what they don't? Do they use any sort of web tracking to see what gets traffic on their website and what doesn't? I like the sudoku, the want ads, the editorial letters, and the local news. I can get the US news anywhere. I'd like to see more local human interest stories. Oh, one other thing...You guys where "jonny on the spot" withthe story about the accident with Alan Resnor and Farrah. Hate to say this but.....Alan is (was) bad news (drugs) and Farrah was Lee Theils (Peg-Leg) daughter.

| My onliest complaint about the Globe is the registration requirement for web-sters. I don't quote the Globe on any other boards a'cuz I won't link to it. I don't expect any casual discussion board reader to register with the Globe to verify anything. The HutchNews tried the registration idea and dumped it. I won't attempt to take credit for the Publisher's decision to abate it but we had more than two email volleys about the inhibiting factor imposed on the not 'ready for primetime' clique-r and he grew to understand that the newspaper's advertisers are the real losers when the gate is latched.

I gotta agree with Tee and Lurker. I think the Globe should be a more "local" paper! |
