| I read in a paper today about the Fed's prodding Goodyear Tire Co. in the ass to settle a strike with 12,000 of their employees because the Fed's need some tires (sigh) for their Hummers. That got me to wondering if Swift has any meat contracts for our Servicemen's needs.... prolly not. That got me to wondering which packers provide meat ... and if they'll get ICE'd.

| I thought the only things the govt bought for the servicemen were MRE's - are they really providing nutritious meals again? I swear I don't know how they live on that crap!

| You mean there is edible meat in the MRE's?!? I am gonna have to call BS on that. |

| Luker, I know for sure that National and, not positive, but almost sure that Cargill has been supplying meat to the millitary. |

| When we run out of water (and it will happen someday) the packing plants will leave and so will the hispanics. Our population will drop to about 12,000. Property will become dirt cheap, the city will have to raise property taxes to survive. Eventually the city will go bankrupt.---Mike B. Mike, I predicted this happening years ago. I look for the water to run out within the next 20 years. With the increase in water consumption with all the alcohol plants, power plants, and so forth, it could happen alot sooner. You might be able to survive without oil, but not without water. No crops, no people, no wildlife, just a wasteland with no living organisms (kinda like the Moon)! LOL Being a longtime resident of the area, I just hate to see the way it has been wasted so fast over the past few years. It used to be a nice place to live and to raise kids. Now it has gotten to be a pig stye, overtaxed, high crime rate, unfriendly place to live! |
