I can recall eating the dried beef and hard tack, the K-rats, the C-rats, Tray Packs and the Meal Ready to Eat. Loved them all, gained weight, the kids loved them. Didn't care what company produced them, just when do we eat. Base line, is something has to be done about all of the illegal activities associated with these people, regardless what company it may inconvenience for a while.

How about a set price, like...oh, a $50,000 fine for every illegal worker found in addition to making the company that hired them financialy liable to send them back to whatever country they came from. And then a public apology. And just for fun, the CEO, President or head guy in charge of the offending company spends 60 days in Federal Prison. Eating MRE's. MUH HA HA HA!!!!

That's prolly the way it should be; BUT we're hopelessly addicted to cheap labor and even cheaper Chinese production.

My coffy maker's slow and over a WHOLE YEAR old. That had me wondering down Wal(ofChina)Mart's appliance asile and there they were: 12 cup "No Name" coffy makers for $3.98.

ya know, if you do the upkeep on those coffee makers...they'll last years! Run some white vinegar thru it every couple of months! (then of course a couple pots of water) Like a new coffee pot !!!

Just a little tip from your Aunt Hoarsie

During the times I've spent in Mexico I never heard a Mexican say: "I woke-up one morning and decided to become a mojado so I could steal someone's identity.

The shortcut to a solution is for us (that's U.S.) to wakeup and offer 'for sale' the option for a 24 month (or so) work visa. Then we would know WHO they are, WHERE they are, HOW MUCH dinero they are making, what their FINGER PRINTS look like, what their IRIS SCAN is, who their EMPLOYER is, who and where their U.S. based FAMILIA MEMBERS live AND what INFECTIOUS DISEASES they don't have.

Couple that with the fees collected IN ADVANCE in exchange for their work visa along with a firm grip on what TAXES they owe and we just might eliminate some of the Identity Theft that concerns some.

That so called "cheap labor" or these immigrants "doing jobs no one else wants to do" is not always true. In alot of instances, they go to work as a laborer for a small business. Then, after they learn the trade, they start their own business, and eventually run the original person out of business by doing the jobs alot cheaper (but with no warrantees, etc)!
