Then we would know WHO they are, WHERE they are, HOW MUCH dinero they are making, what their FINGER PRINTS look like, what their IRIS SCAN is, who their EMPLOYER is, who and where their U.S. based FAMILIA MEMBERS live AND what INFECTIOUS DISEASES they don't have.

Couple that with the fees collected IN ADVANCE in exchange for their work visa along with a firm grip on what TAXES they owe and we just might eliminate some of the Identity Theft that concerns some.
Still....what would keep them from sneaking into the country illegally. Why would they pay the fee, get a visa, register and pay taxes and such when they can just sneak in?

I agree MIT (And that's the LAST time this month! I have overstepped my agree with MIT USA quota). Up front it may be cheap labor but in the long run it's very expensive labor and we (taxpaying, lawabiding (for the most part), did I say taxpaying) citizens are the one's that pay for it. Sure maybe our meat is a little cheaper but I think that gets stuck to people ten fold in property taxes, the cost of crime, the education system being raped, social services, courts, etc all being backed up handling people that just aren't supposed to be here....really it's not cheap labor. Oh and I left out the poison water (what there is left of it)....

It sounds like you have been running what Dodge City calls water straight from the tap to your coffee maker. You really should get an R.O. system for your house and use the water out of it, or get a water cooler with the replaceable bottles that you put in the top, or at the very least get a Brita or Pur water filter system....

The Municipal water is better in the Winter than in the Summer. In the summertime, they run alot of really hard wells to keep up with demand. In order to remove hardness, you either need an R.O., a water softener, or a distiller type system. Filters will not remove hardness or dissolved minerals. Actually, the best approach is what "Hoarsie" said, clean periodically with and acid like vinegar.

I have a RO under my kitchen sink that also hooks to ice & water in fridge. Working on getting a water softener plumbed in.....

Only run the softener to the hot water side, and to the RO. Soft water will save you plumbing!

I would suggest that you get the soft water for both cold and hot pipes. There's no such thing as "half-soft water".

Remember back when Wal-Mart sold mostly American-made goods at inexpensive prices. Now, sadly it seems to be mostly cheap Third-World knockoffs sold cheaply.

No doubt about that.
