I'm not sure how often this gets updated, but worth a shot to look at next time you're fuel guage is on E and that don't mean Enough!!

KC Good luck on the Taxie's.We were in Phoenix one year ago for my back surgery and our only means of transportation was Taxie's. A short wait was 1-hour and I am not kidding.

Eek! And the young lady I'm training and bringing with me is so stinking shy, she'll be no help hailing a cab! Oh, well - she's cute - that oughta help!

Why do you suppose it's cheaper in Southwest Kansas than Salina? It's about the same distance from the refineries around ElDorado. Going to spend all week there (Salina) next week. Oh, well, I'll expense the gas anyway. It's just odd.

You can spend more money riding in a taxi, than you can spend in renting a car. I spent a week in Miami awhile back, and I could have bought a car for what I spent on taxi's!!

Who says their gas comes from ElDorado?? There are refineries all over Muffie, and alot of them haul their gas from various places.

Muffie has refineries? I had fleas once, but that's a different thread.

Kansas refineries:

Colorado has 1 small refinery and Arizona has NONE.... by their own doing.

If you have a couple of billion dollars laying around, you can fund the NECESSARY paperwork to begin building your own refinery. Some assembly required...

There are days I would gladly trade just one of our refineries. .... (as of late you can have our BP plant)........... for an XL

Cute wont help. You don't hail cabs, you have to call and request one and that is where the long wait comes in. SORRY!! Take a lot of reading material to pass the time.

Hmmm. At all the hotels I've stayed at for a long time, the cabs are lined up in front and you just climb in the first one with a driver. Maybe I'll have to rethink that...
