YONKERS — A middle school teacher at PEARLS Hawthorne School could be fired for instructing his class to draw an anatomically correct picture of a male body in a seventh grade health class Wednesday, school officials said.

Well, huh. I guess my reaction would depend on whether it was a class of mixed sex or a class of a single sex. And whether the report was taken out of context by the student reporting it. Maybe the teacher was asking for them to label the internal parts - and not in just a sexual sense. People are getting pretty antsy. But they don't want to teach this stuff at home, either. I don't get it.

If he was teaching how to correctlcy put on a condom............ then perhaps it is necessary to be anatomically correct - if he was just reviewing the parts of the male and female body.............. I think there are plenty of body parts that are much mor important than that. Also if it was a reproduction section of a health class............ there are internal parts that ya need to know about much more than the external parts........... Wonder if he spends as mucn time on the Immune System and the T cells structure?? Need the whole story to draw a conclusion on this one. This looks like a quip to sell a paper - too bad people feel they got the whole story with this tidbit. With that said - shame on the paper for even publishing it without the - rest of the story!
