Yep, Texie, Uncle Sam's seen to that! If you're in a flood plain, you can get it if you can afford it! If you're not in a flood plain, you'll have a hard time finding it. Part of South Dodge is NOT in a flood plain - try telling that to some of the people after the '65 flood.

It was my impression that when the Government Corp of Engineers certified the dike system for Dodge City, that any government backed home loans did not require flood insurance. That was told to me by the realestate dude that sold me my home. I was here in in the big one of '65.
